Today we are cleaning the weeds out of the orchard and laying fertilizer. We will also put up two huge raised garden beds by the trailer.

We have 23 acres of land. We found a spot that we want to build the Masjid at. In this picture below is an air view of the property. I outlined it in black. If you look at the picture there is a white circle on the road. a small way above that we want to clear and lay the foundation for the masjid Insha Allah.

In this next picture (Below) is an outline of how the community will look when it is finished. we got a lot of this done already. We have several families living on the land as well. Now we are building the heart of every Muslim community -The Masjid

She has been a nurse for 3 years now and loves to help people in need. She got into nursing because she loves people and enjoys caring for people. She is one of the volunteer medical staff that will be going out in our mobile treatment center.

  It has been a while since I have updated you guys on community progress. for those that dont know I have been fighting prostate cancer for a little while now. Insha Allah I am able to beat it. If not Alhamdulilah. Allah is the best of knowers and planners.  Some days are harder than othes. the treatments are very aggressive and makes me weak and sick alot. but Alhamdulilah we are still getting things done. its going slower than I am used to building but its still getting done. we have a big event planned in November.

this is just a quik update. with some of the funds we have raised so far​ we have have been able to buy 3 solar panels. we still need more things for the off the grid power source. we need to buy a inverter and more solar batteries. we want to have  20 solar batteries to get started. these battteries on average are $70 each. to be comfortable we would like to have 50 solar batteries. but 20 should do for a couple of families power needs. Ramadan is coming quikly and we still have a lot to do. get in your blessings and help us house those who are living on the land. many are living in tents while we try and raise the funds to build their homes. we want to put up a mailbox so you all and others can send stuff directly to us like giftcards. letters, supplies etc. to get the mailbox stuff and get it installed we need about $300. we already raised $105. so we are $195  away from getting everything we need for the mail box. the mailbox post that we need is about $70. the actual box is another $70, we need a extra large one. then we need the concrete  and the numbers to put on it. once we get that up and installed ill updated everyone with the address to the community.

We hired a contractor and now we just need the materials and his modest fee which is essentially his gas and food expense. this campaign is all about that. we have a well thanks you all, we have a small orchard thanks again to you all, we have a fence thanks you all, and fixed some of the road also thanks to you all.​ now we have to build the buildings. the brother we found has his own construction company and does this for a living. he has built houses for years and volunteers at habitat for humanity to build houses for the needy. so Alhamdulilah for the blessing of him volunteering to build for us we just have to supply the materials.

Are you all ready to see actual buildings, farms. kitchens, houses, clinics, and schools being erected on the land? I am  this phase of our campaign is all about that. who will start us off and get the donations rolling ? our goal is to Insha Allah start building after Ramadan

Insha Allah you are having a blessed and fullfilling day.  We have 26 rolls of 100ft wire fencing sitting in my basement but lack the funding to transport it and install it on the community land. we need to raise $1500 for this but we can make it happen with $1000. i will just have to take two trips. the community land is 700 miles from my home in ohio. with $1000 in donations I will drive a total of 2800 miles to get all the fencing on the land and get it installed. with $1500 I can rent a hitch to the back of the van and put the other half of the fencing on it so we can get all the fencing to the community in one trip.      Insha Allah all is well with you and your families, If you are going through a hardship I pray Allah bring you through it with ease and many blessings. I am updating today because we have decided to change some plans as far as the road paving is concerned.  Donations have not been coming in as we had expected but Alhamdulilah for any and everything we are getting in. so we thought it would be more cost efficient now and in the long term to buy a wood chipper for around $500 and use the many trees we have on the land to chip and pave the road with a mixture of wood chips, dirt, and random flat rocks that can be found on the property. this way if a heavy rain falls and we lose some of the road we can easily replace it by cutting down a tree and chipping it.

We want to buy an big shed to use as a office and base of operations on the property. our goal is to be able to live stream and upload directly from community. we can have some one on the land who is responsible for daily updates, videos, and pictures. lastly we have all the fencing but have not yet gotten the funding to transport it from my home in ohio to the community in GA. it will take us two trips unless I rent a hitch so I can haul the rest with. we are looking to raise $1500 for that. that is transportation and labor. we have a brother down in Augusta GA who is in need of work and insha Allah we can employ him to help with the work. Insha Allah this could also be a blessing upon him and his family. this is the current state of operations right now.

   forgive me for not updating in a while. I took a personal trip with my wife and kids to detroit. I live in ohio so its only a 3 hour drive. we normally go there every 3 months or so to stack up on Halal meats. the price for halal meats in ohio is nearly 3x the cost of what it is in detroit. we normally go to Saads wholesale meats. very nice brothers and sisters there Alhamdulilah. while I am out there we visit friends and family. to make all the rounds and stops take nearly a week. we stop to support many muslim owned stores and business. speaking of which while I was on the trip I bought  decided to buy a couple of things for the community. I was not able to raise the funds for the wind turbine so Allah blessed me with another way of getting it Alhamdulilah. Allah is truly kind. So i got one of the wind turbines and a small solar panel. 

our goal is to have a off the grid power source of 10 of these wind turbines. and 10 150 watt solar panel kits. with a battery bank of at least 50 40amp hour solar batteries. the solar panel in the picture is a much weaker one. I got this one because a sister who is coming onto the property said she needed something to keep her phones and laptops charged, also to have some lighting during the night. Insha Allah this is sufficient. If not I will install the first wind turbine and see how it works.

we are now on milestone two in this campaign. we need to raise $2000 more bringing the total to $4000 so we can pave the road and make office on the property. please continue to share and donate as always thank you and may Allah bless and reward you

             One of the things we wanted to get for this project is scarce and will soon be out of stock in our area. we wanted to get this huge barn shed and use it as a office or base of operations if you will. we will do all of our day to day business out of this shed. from live streaming to organizing, and reaching out to those in need. This was in our 2nd milestone of this campaign. we were going to buy this and buy the gravel for road. Insha Allah we can raise the funds for this in the next couple of days. if not Alhamdulilah. the purchase of the fencing depleted the funds we raised so far. 26 rolls of this wire fence cost nearly $1900 it actually went over what we had left after buying the power tools. But alhamdulilah we got it thanks to Allah and your generous donations.

While I was at menards I saw these wind turbines for $500 each, these will be be a great source of non-stop power for the community. One of these coupled with a decent sized battery bank could keep 1 home fully powered we can supplement any extra power with a gas generator or a small solar panel kit. the wind turbines generate power day and nigh. its windy in georgia and on the land so this would be a great need for the community.

  one of the housing homesteads was abandoned abruptly and the winds from the recent storms have nearly destroyed one of the cabins built on this particular homestead. the area was left to overgrowth and the crops that were growing on it just a couple of months ago are destroyed. we were going to move a family into this area but now we cannot while its in this state. here is a video of it below.

If you are able to give to repair this homestead on the property the family would be able to move in and leave the shelter they are currently in. Once on Alkebulan Community they will be in charge of the half acre they are on and will clear, plant, and maintain some live stock on that acre.

   we have reached our first funding milestone of our new campaign Alhamdulilah. 

As stated in a earlier post I went out and purchased 2 brush cutting power tools to may clearing the land very easy. Come monday or some time this coming week I plan on spending the rest of the funds we have raised so far on the fencing. based upon the math of 10 acres to cover the perimeter of the land we will need to buy 26 rolls of 100ft wire farm fencing. as the picture  below shows they are around $70 per 100ft roll.

so if I have done my math correctly then that is $1820 spent and will essentially be the remaining funds after we purchased the power tools earlier. so that will complete our first milestone in this new campaign. 

Our next milestone is to raise $2000 more bringing our new campaign to a total of $4000 raised.  once we reach that milestone we will start paving the goad with gravel to make it less hazardous to drive upon and build a office on the land for day to day operations.  We rely on you to help get this built for the ummah.    Alhamdulilah we have reached our first funding milestone in our new campaign 

As stated in a earlier update as soon as we reached $2000 I would go buy the stuff to to start clearing my land.  we bought 2 of these in the picture with saw blade attachments to chop through brush. I am going to buy the fencing stuff on monday Insha Allah.

With this brush cutting tool myself and my wife can clear an acre of land in a day then spend the next day bag and trashing the brush. we may even through the brush in a pit and do a controlled burn of it.

After we reach our next milestone of $4000 we plan on paving the road with gravel and setting up a office on the land for every day Community business, we want to buy these sheds in the video posted below to make that happen.

   we have been sheltering two families that needed some help escaping Hurricane irma in florida. They were sleeping in our big cabin tent that we use as a masjid. The storm has moved into the Atlanta area and the effects of it can be felt even as far out as we are in bartow. the winds picked up a lot. even though they were not really bad but it made it very uncomfortable for them while they were staying in a tent. we got them hotel rooms for the week.  We had to use some of the building funds we raised to help these families in need. they had lost everything. All they had was the cloths on their backs. Being the Muslims we are we could not stand idle and not help people who were suffering. This is the foundation of this community we are building, We strive to help those in need. mostly among the ummah but we will not turn anyone away.

Once we reach $2000 raised we will buy the power tools needed to mass clear and get started on the fence around the property. the power tool we are going to use to mass clear the brush is essentially a weed wacker with a saw blade attachment. its a pretty awesome tool and makes clearing brush  very easy. 

This is a make shift gate we put  up a acre into the property. this gate blocks the road to the housing area. as you can see its massively overgrown everywhere. Ill post a video of it as well so you all can get a better view of the over growth that needs to be cleared before we can build anything else.

once we reach $4000 raised we will buy the gravel and start to gravel 10 acres worth of road. the road is very raw and can be hazardous to vehicles. the road as it is makes it very difficult to bring heavy equipment and trucks onto the property to do any work.

This picture of the road above does not show how bad the road is but it does show some of the massive overgrowth. I am going to post a video below which shows me  trying to repair a portion of a road that is the most damaged.
