Help the IMFC!

Philadelphia is a city with a big Islamic footprint. Our community is lacking the influence & social change that Islam had during the time of the Prophet Muhammad (صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم). We are in need of a place of worship and community center that addresses the needs of our congregants and our community. This is where the vision for the Imam Muslim Family Center comes in.

The Imam Muslim Family Center is an initiative committed to providing spiritual and social services to the people of Philadelphia. Headed by Imams Ali Davis, Syid Abu Saajid, and Mufti Ibn Muneer, the IMFC endeavors to fulfill its mission of religious and social services by providing (among other things):

- Religious services (salatul jumuah, halaqat)

- A food pantry

- Prison reintegration services

- Substance abuse counseling

- Family programming

- Marriage Counseling

- Emergency housing for women & children 

- Educational support(financially & academically) for the youth

As a first step, we are in need of $24,000 to move into the facility we have gained access to. To date, we have raised $4,000 and are in need of the remaining $20,000 to complete facility repairs, renovations, and pay outstanding costs to secure the building for prayers and religious services. This is Phase I of our initiative. 

The religious advisors for IMFC have been actively working in their communities trying to promote religious change. Imam Muhammad ibn Muneer has a Masters degree in Hadith Sciences from the Islamic University of Madeenah. He is currently teaching in New York City, and he has many classes available online under Hadith Disciples. Brother Ali Davis has a Bachelors degree in Judicial Law from Umm al Qura University, and was the first American to complete that program. He currently gives classes in Philadelphia, and also online under Al Thamaraat. Brother Syid Abu Saajid also has a Bachelors in Judicial Law from Umm al Qura University as well. He currently teaches in Philadelphia, and he also teaches online under Al Thamaraat.
