Thanks to donors like you, for 6 years Lindi Islamic Foundation of Tanzania (LIFT) has been providing meat to the most vulnerable in Lindi, Tanzania. 
Eid-ul-adha is a time when many of us can enjoy Eid with our family and friends with a menu unimpeded by economic or social condition.
Last year and throughout the year, LIFT distributed meat to the most vulnerable thanks to donors just like you.
Last Eid ul Adha, the LIFT team of 6 departed for the district of Nachingwea to seat the livestock.
The livestock was loaded on to the truck, a several hour tasks, and made the 400 km journey from Mohoro, in the Pwani Region, to Nachingwea.
The truck departed around noon. We waited, and waited, and waited. We received updates along the way. AlhamduAllah around 2 am, we left our hotel to rendezvous with the truck and escort it to its final destination in preparation for the sacrifice. Around 4 AM, unloading of all 26 cows, 38 sheep/ goat was complete.
After about 2 hours sleep, we prepare for Eid prepare, the sacrifice, and distribution.

Eid Mubarak!!
Cows are in transit to the villages.
The good news is the cows are larger than expected. The challenge was that we had to find another vehicle since they would be too congested to transport safely in the vehicle we hired. This delayed us a bit.
Eid prayer is Monday. These pictures taken part way through their 135 mile journey to the first drop off point.
