LEVELLING THE COMPETITION FOR MUSLIMAH ATHLETES

Example of existing hijab worn during physical and sports activities in a local Islamic school

For those muslimah athletes who decided to go further, very limited choices are available. Most of the existing Sports hijab in the market offers minimal closure, while highly priced, making it less available for young girls to own them. And more importantly, their products are fashion oriented, giving little consideration on the aspects of sports performance and functionality.

OUR AIM AND GOAL is to provide

- functional performance sports hijab which adhere to the principles of modesty in Islam and affordable to all. 

- To do away with the impression that hijab will hinder performance and movements in competitive sports by using design science and material technology

- To promote wearing hijab for outdoor activities even from young age - this is our Dakwah

- We also plan to further produce performance muslimah sports attires which includes muslimah jerser and training pants

CROWDFUNDING OBJECTIVES

To gather assistance to enable us in producing and marketing our performance sports hijab starting with schools in Selangor, Malaysia. The fund will also help us in starting a campaign to call for muslim sisters to start exercising and be involved in sports 

FUNDS BREAKDOWN

The funds collected will be spent on mainly 2 activities, namely production and marketing. 

Initial production - 1000 pcs (50% of fund pool)

Production timeline - 30 days

Marketing strategy - Traditional door-to-door campaign for schools around the Selangor state, setting up website and participating in online market place (50% of fund pool)

THE HIJAB

We have developed and tested our hijab in the market with a 150pcs initial trial. The result was encouraging and we managed to get good review and feedback. This encourages us to take a step further and we needed your help to take this leap.

The design allows for free movement without resistance form the hijab and adequately provide appropriate coverage

The emphasis of the design language is on facilitating performance, while taking consideration on esthetical elements

A portion of the Sales amount (10%) will be donated to Islamic Charities so that we could all extend our help to the needy. We believe this humble start can snowball to greater success and continue to be beneficial to all Muslims around the world
