Our dream is to inspire, empower, and encourage our members to be agents of change in their homes, schools, communities and the world!
This organization started as a dream in the minds and hearts of two friends, Samira and Dana, back when we first met back in 2013. We never let go of this dream so when we both started at UTD we came a step closer to fulfilling the dream by forming Muslimahs for Change (M4C) in 2014. We are working diligently to make the first collegiate Muslim sorority a reality for all who believe in the power of sisterhood and for those who are willing to give it their all. We are delighted to share this dream with you!
This organization was built on the premise that Muslim women from all walks of life can benefit from a sisterhood where they are encouraged to reach their highest potential in whichever path they may choose. Working together, we hope to be a positive force in our communities. Amidst the negative stereotypes of Muslims in today’s world, we want to rise and shatter these stereotypes and show what we truly stand for. We want to inspire, empower, and encourage our members to bring positive change in their homes, schools, communities and the world!
In case you didn’t know, we are the first professional Muslim sorority in the nation, and we are hoping you would share our success by helping us reach our goals.
Our organization's mission is to encourage Muslim women to achieve their highest potential in all careers, life stages, and paths, and to expand the image of Muslim women as a positive force in improving their environments, and to demonstrate the value of diversity while holding on to one’s identity.
We want to inspire, empower, and encourage our members to be agents of change in their homes, schools, communities and the world. We are dedicated to empowering minds through education and devoted to the success and prosperity of our community by:
Hosting Professional Speaker Series every semester
Arranging Professional and Social Networking Opportunities
Offering Leadership Retreat every Summer
Raising Awareness about Islam by Hosting a Why Islam Gallery focusing on different topics every semester.
