Help the Islamic Society of Colorado Springs (ISCS) build its first Islamic center in the city

Salaam and Ramadan Mubarak friends! We are a Muslim community in desperate need of a larger Islamic Center that will accommodate the needs of the entire community. Our current masjid was an old Laundry mat/convenient store that was established in 1996 and turned into our current masjid. This is the only masjid in the entire city of Colorado Springs, with an estimated population of over 674,000+ people and approx. 500+ Muslims/families. The nearest Islamic center is more than an hour away in Denver, CO. Please support us in building our masjid/Islamic center by donating generously to this campaign and sharing on social media!

Our history and current need ...

Colorado Springs is the second most populous city in Colorado. The Muslim community here has been a steadily growing community for many years but has never been able to afford to build a masjid. 

• Friday - Jumu'ah prayer is so crowded there isn't a place to sit for the men so many brothers stand
• Fasting - During Ramadan Iftars and night prayers are very congested and inconvenient
• Special worship - There is no place for worship such as i'tikaf during Ramadan because space is being used for breaking the fast and table must be erected daily and broken down each night
• Residential - The current masjid is in a residential neighborhood and masjid traffick and parking, noise and movement is very inconvenient for the surrounding neighbors
• Islamic school - Sunday school takes place in the prayer area, which is highly inconvenient and uncomfortable 
• Parking - As you can imagine, parking is a huge sore point for the congregation and the neighbors because the building was never meant to hold so many occupants 
• Dawah - Our current situation makes it difficult for us to offer any kind of outreach programs and limits our dawah resources.
• Al-Nisa - The sister's area is smaller than the men's area and is not nearly as nice. They share this area with the children.  
• Youth - The youth are desperate for activities which larger masjids usually offer. 

With a new masjid, we plan to alleviate all of these issues and have a center that can accommodate a growing community. We are also hoping that many of the Muslims who are deterred from attending the masjid, due to its condition, will rejoin the community and become active, Insha'Allah!

Phases and our Plan

We have already raised enough money to pay off the cost of the land where the new Masjid/Islamic center will be built, which cost the community $275,000. Because we know this is a huge undertaking we are seeking to raise the funds and build the masjid in stages. The Colorado Springs community is dedicated to making sure we build smart for a growing population and for the very near future generations Insha'Allah.

The total cost of our entire project cost 2.4 million which will include, an adequate prayer area of the same size for both men and women, proper classrooms for Sunday school, gymnasium, playgrounds, an interfaith center, a library, and more. The following are our phases Insha'Allah: 

• Phase I (past) - Pay off the land. Cost $275,000 - Completed 
• Phase II (current) - Installation of water & sewage, security fencing around the perimeter, engineering & environmental studies, and engineering drawings for building permits. Cost $250,000. 
• Phase III - Constructing the masjid/community center. Cost is approx. $2million
• Phase IV - Aesthetics and outdoor recreation areas. Cost $150,000

• That Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.) said "Giving Charity does not decrease your wealth💰" (Sahih Muslim 2588)
• Allah says "Spend 💵(in Charity) O son of Adam, and I shall spend on you"(Hadith Qudsi)
• This is an investment in your hereafter and for the next generation of Muslims.
• No amount is insignificant ( if you can only give $1dollar, then please do so)
• When you spend in the cause of Allah, Allah will multiply it 10-700x times and even more. 

• "Who's the one who will loan Allah a goodly loan, so he will multiply it for him, and for him is a noble reward" (57:11)
