Help us host the National SJP Conference!

We are the University of Minnesota chapter of Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) and our goal is to bring together activists for Palestine from across the U.S for a national conference that is beneficial, empowering, and fun! SJP UMN has been at the forefront of raising the issue of Palestine on our campus, and we hope we can continue to do that with this conference and your help!

Who are we and what do we do?

We are a group of students, faculty, and community members working together at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, in solidarity with the struggle of the indigenous Palestinian people against apartheid and occupation. We organize frequent educational events that give a voice to the Palestinian narrative as well as highlight the plight of the Palestinian people under Israeli aggression, in addition to organizing protests, memorials, and other events that attempt to visualize the Palestinian struggle. Our mission is to create a space on campus in which we can educate others about the Palestinian narrative, have critical and meaningful discussions regarding the US Israeli relationship, and encourage our University to uphold its commitment to social responsibility by divesting from Israeli companies that profit off of human rights violations.

This semester we are hosting the national SJP conference in our beautiful city of Minneapolis from November 1st-3rd. The theme of the conference is Beyond Struggle: From Roots to Branches Towards Liberation and these are its goals:
