Who are the Pearls?

Music is so much more than just  entertainment. We have witnessed first hand what poetry and song can do for the soul and for society. Bringing down walls and building bridges between people as well as re-connecting us with our Lord. A means to remind and reignite the love of remembrance, the love of worshiping, the love of the Prophet Muhammed ( PBUH) and the love of each other demonstrates the power and importance of expression through song.We have also used our songs for educating and nurturing the next generation, providing an alternative to the mainstream music that we are all exposed to.

One of the most common questions we get asked  is ‘ When is the album coming out?’ this question has been asked for over 15 years and unfortunately our answer is always the same.. “inshaAllah soon”. Pearls of Islam has been a blessing in the sense that it has created so many openings for us such as our Drumming School where we teach private lessons and workshops to Ladies and children, The Rabbani Project our non-profit organisation which provide spaces which fuse together the notions of creativity, spirituality and nature, SOAS Spiritual Dialogue Society which we founded to gather university students and others in the city monthly in the name of dhikr ( remembrance) or  The Herbal Blessing Clinic, Rabiah’s clinic in which she puts on workshops, courses and has a regular weekly community clinic. All of these were seedlings which were sprouted from Pearls of Islam and have given an opportunity for us to not only be performers but try to be community activists by serving and giving back to the community. This has taken away time and funds which we would have used for the album.

The Album:

Well, this year we have promised ourselves that this is the year for the album. The album is a means to document and present the journey that we have been through for the past 15 years as well as an opportunity to continue supporting our work in the community and a chance to get our songs and music to much more hearts all around the world, to fill that space of diverse faith inspired music, nasheeds in english and music that can be enjoyed but at the same time a reminder of the Divine.This 13 track album will be a thank you to God and thank you all those who have been patient and supportive with us throughout the years.

How can you help?

1. PRAYERS: Duas and prayers are powerful and is 100% what has gotten us this far. We need you sincere duas for directions, sincerity, steadfastness and success.

2. INVESTMENT:  i’ll just say it how it is we need your monetary contribution in order to make this happen. Many of us are unaware of  the costs of creative projects, making an album from scratch costs money. Alot of money. However the impact of the album and the songs is much greater than the financial costs.

3. SPREAD THE WORD: share on your social media, watsapp, text messages, letters friends and family. The more people you make aware the quicker we can all reach our target.

Where will the money go?

• Costs for studio, sound engineer, mastering of a 13 track album
• Printing and Album works costs
• Fees for extra musicians and instrumentalist
• Cost for rehearsal hire
• Cost of producing, editing and filming two music videos to accompany album
• Cost of a Album Launch event.

£10: Thank you! will get you a downloadable Link to Album ( You will be the first to receive this before it is launched)

£15: CD Album ( Which be sent via post)

£20: CD Album and a private link video message sent to you

£35: A 45 minute online drumming workshop taster sessions led by Sakinah ( Only applicable to Ladies 16+) Anywhere in the world. (You must have your own drum.)

£60: CD Album with a personal written message from us and a goodie bag

£200: Your own private drumming workshop ( Maximum of 10 people) valid up until March 2019. Transport and accommodation fees (if needed) are not included.

£500: Pearls of Islam at your event! ( Transport and accommodation fees ( if needed) are not included

£800  A private intimate living room sessions with us performing for up to 90 minutes. Valid between. 1st December till 9th December. Transport and accommodation (if needed) to not included. Only applicable to spaces that accommodate for a maximum of 70 people ( It will be a part of the Album Tour)
