Qalam was founded in February 2009 by Shaykh AbdulNasir Jangda with a single goal: to develop a student body that was dedicated to organized and consistent Islamic learning. Since then, with the blessing of Allah, Qalam has expanded to become an institution focused on creating an educational environment that is rooted in the classical teachings of Islam.

Since its first year in 2013, the Qalam Seminary has graduated 84 students, who have gone on to become Imams, youth directors, and leaders in their communities. The program is catered to train both the activist and the scholar in the foundations of our religion. Our goal is to build people who become a benefit to their communities.

Your contribution will go towards a scholarship fund for tuition, books, and the cost of being a full-time student. By supporting Qalam Seminary, you are not only taking part in a Sadaqah Jariyah, or an endless charity that will be a benefit to you in the hereafter inshaAllah but also:

The Qalam Seminary only accepts zakat funds to help fund and sponsor accepted Seminary students who are eligible to receive Zakat. Qalam does not use Zakat funds for operational or institutional costs.
