GREAT, thank you for reading on....!

Due to the fact we are an extremely small private school, we do not get funding from a district or have surplus funds at our disposal.  As technology and STEM education is ever so important to be integrated into today's classroom, the average class now requires more and more differentiation. This is because students are now coming to us from all different socioeconomic and academic backgrounds. We cannot continue to gear the curriculum towards the upper echelon with the small population the staff was accustomed to teaching. Therefore, it is imperative to the success of our students that programs like this are brought in, teachers are trained to use the program with their students in their classrooms. More importantly, the impact of the results of this program will benefit not only the students, but the teachers who are able to see what areas are strong and what areas are needed to strengthen across the board and specifically for each student.  As I will be teaching ALL math from grades 6 through 10, I especially am looking forward to the fact that the data travels WITH the students as they move from grade to grade and adds year of data to the previous data for the next teacher to see their learning trends, skills mastered, areas needed for intervention, etc. One huge benefit of ScootPad I have found so far is that it allows me to remediate OR provide enrichment within one class period since it is just me; there are no resource teachers or aids available.  It's like having 2 or 3 teachers in one class!

Once again, our goal is to raise enough funds to purchase 170 year-round licenses that would be for a period of 2 years.  They would be able to use the program in their classrooms, at home, and still be able to work on their skills over the summer, therefore, allowing them to still keep up on skills while not in school through their "Summer Gear Up To Grade _#__" portion of the program.
