In a world that is presumably stratified, it is our duty as humanitarians to provide aid to those who do not have accessibility to the necessities of life for survival. Your pure donation will help Penny Appeal USA install two solar-powered water well for a remote rural village in Tharparkar and throughout Pakistan.
Humanitarian groups like Penny Appeal can build each solar-powered water well to provide clean water for Pakistani inhabitants. Installing this solar-powered water well will enable people in the area- and all surrounding areas- to use this fresh potable water for drinking, hygiene, and growing crops since agriculture is their primary source of income. Your help in fresh water means that local women and children in that area will no longer have to walk miles simply to fetch water from remote areas. These villagers in southern Pakistan will have a fresh water source near them which will allow them to spend their time focusing on education and health for their community.
A 21 year old Pakistani boy who dreams for a world with equality and freedom amongst all humans. My name is Zain Malik and I am currently a senior at University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I grew up in the rural city duties to help the community. My father worked in America since 1984, his main goal was to help create a better future for my siblings and I. When I moved to North Carolina at the age of 4, my family did not really have much when we first arrived here. Slowly we became accustomed to the American lifestyle. Going through school, I had one goal in mind and that was to be someone that my parents would proudly say “yes, that’s my son” when asked. I stand before you today understanding the struggles of minorities, knowing that I have been blessed with the opportunity of Karachi where just seeing the next day was a challenge itself. Growing up, our family was privileged when compared to the families that lived around us. This never stopped us from being humble and realizing our to help millions across the globe who's struggles are much greater then people here in America.
A Palestinian, a Muslim, a female, a young American Dreamer. My dreams consist of healing the world, and as a Palestinian, my very own people. I hope to pursue my passions fully at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, through the various medical programs, and furthering my statements as a humanitarian. Love, beauty and life's happy vibes push me to live everyday as if it's a new adventure. Writing, sharing my stories and photography give me an opportunity to express my own thoughts and experiences. Traveling and living months at a time in foreign lands so new to me, has shaped me as an individual. From a young age, with the support from my Grandfather Abraham Bedwan, I was always taught to give back to the community that has shaped me, even if I never received a token of appreciation. Moreover, I wanted to heal and I was blessed to work with the Palestinian Children's Relief Fund in the West Bank, through daily work at the Huda Al Masri Cancer department, and the fulfilling medical missions through the villages surrounding the Holy Land. I hope to grow further while working with Penny Appeal, as I work with my community for a greater good. No hate, no shame, no discrimination. Love, learning, and kindness. Within my community, I hope to support and aid nations who are strained as a daughter of this world.
Tharparkar is a village area located in the Sindh Provence of Pakistan and the majority of its civilians do not have access to clean drinking water. Nearly 2,000 young children under the age of 5 have died in this area since 2011, with lack of fresh pure water access being a major contributor to these preventable deaths.
Penny Appeal USA is a nonprofit development organization working to alleviate poverty through sustainable programs. Our mission is to bring about an equitable world by tackling the root causes of poverty, while bridging the gap between funders and poor communities in order to work together on long-term solutions that can help end intergenerational poverty.
Since 2016, we have provided support, tools, and services to over 50,000 children, refugees, displaced communities, and families in need both domestically and internationally.
