Our Students Need Your Help!

Darul Amaanah Academy is in danger of closing its doors! For some students, school is just a place to get an education and nothing more. However, for our students, Darul Amaanah Academy is a place they call home.

Empowering Children:

Located in the inner city of Wilmington, DE -Darul Amaanah Academy strives to implement core Islaamic teachings along with a disciplined secular structured education for inner city kids. Most of the kids that join Darul Amaanah Academy are from impoverished areas where the school system has failed them and their hopes of succeeding through education. The goal of Darul Amaanah Academy is to instill the love of learning by building self confidence, discipline, and hope in every student that walks through that door. Many of our students have come from school systems that only give up on a child due to behavioral issues. Not knowing how to deal with them, they continue to beat down on a child for acting out instead of nurturing their emotions. Children are people too! Our founder, Ummu Maahir Ismaa'eel, has an impact on every student and their families that have joined since the beginning 20 years ago!  The result? Successful, respectful, well rounded and envisioned children!

​What We do:

We are the FIRST full time Tahfeedhul-Quraan advanced program in Wilmington, DE. Just recently, on the 15th day of Ramadaan in the year of 1439 (May 31,2018) Darul Amaanah Academy completed Juz' Tabaarek for the 20th time!

We also teach our children from kindergarten the Arabic Language. 

Our 2nd - 6th grade students have completed Madinah Arabic Reader program second level this year!  Most of our students do not have access or are around the Arabic Language. In just a few short months, our new and returning students advance in reading, writing, and verbal communication of the Arabic Language.

Unlike traditional schools where the basics are provided, Darul Amaanah Academy is responsible for purchasing:

​No Child Turned Away:

As nonprofit institution registered in the state of Delaware, Darul Amaanah Academy relies heavily on fundraising opportunities and charity in order to keep the doors opened by the Will of Allaah Azzawajal. There is a tuition base per student to attend. However, almost 90% of our students are on a needs based scholarship and attend without cost. We do not turn any child away regardless of families not being able to fund their child's education. 

​Closing The Door on Our Students:

We are in danger of closing our doors. The building we have been renting from will be shutting down. In order to keep the program running, we need to move to a new building before August 2018. We need your help, YOU have the ability to help us fund our school and with your generous donations we can move to a new building within the next few weeks! 

Your contribution will help keep the doors open for these students and help better enrich their lives.
