77 year old Noorjahan had a vision to provide education for local impoverished children in a remote village in Bangladesh where she grew up. Noorjahan converted to Islam in the 1960’s and so did her late father, Islam Ali who was a teacher following in his daughter's footsteps. Both kept hold of their new found faith despite suffering backlash. Noorjahan has given in charity all her life including supporting people to build their homes. Noor E Madina Madrasa is a vision to keep the legacy of teaching continuing for her late father as well as an ongoing sadaqa jariya now that she has reached the latter part of life. 

Acquire immense rewards, for the objective of education is to prepare the young to educate themselves throughout their lives.

Imagine the Sadaqa Jariya of ongoing rewards for every lip that utters a surah, who performs salah and those that go on to teach others! 

We are a mother, son and daughter team with project management background. Noorjahan has experience of building homes in Bangladesh and her daughter manages family support projects in the U.K. Eldest son will have access to local builders in Bangladesh and materials which will help the local businesses.

Once this project is up and running fully, we aim to build on the education programme by converting a nearby village property into a school. Whilst the Noor E Madina Madrasa will focus on Islamic and Qur'anic studies, the nearby converted school will focus on English, Maths, Science and Bengali classes. This project will be open to children of all backgrounds and priority for those who have been orphaned. Here's the plot. (This fundraiser doesn't cover that plan).
