Dear Brothers and Sisters, King Fahad Mosque needs your support...

As one of the largest and most prominent mosques in Southern California, many Muslims have benefitted from our services for years. We hope you can make a contribution to help keep us going during these difficult times.

We generally raise the vast majority of the mosque’s yearly operating expenses during fundraising in Ramadan. This year, due to the COVID-19 crisis, we face the challenge of trying to raise funds for the masjid online.

King Fahad Mosque does not receive any funding from outside sources. After our dependence on Allah, we depend on the donations and the generosity of the community.

Even a $5 or $10 contribution will help. No amount is too small. May Allah bless all of you and your families, and multiply the reward of your charity, during these blessed days and nights.

The Prophet ﷺ said:

‎الصدقة تسد سبعين باباً من السوء

“Sadaqah (charity) closes seventy doors of evil”

And he ﷺ also said:

‎صنائع المعروف تقي مصارع السوء و صدقة السر تطفئ غضب الرب و صلة الرحم تزيد في العمر

“Doing good thing prevents bad things from happening, and secretly giving charity extinguishes the anger of the Lord, and maintaining ties of kinship increases one’s lifespan”

The great scholar Ibn Al-Qayyim said:

فإنَّ للصدقة تأثيرًا عجيبًا في دفع أنواع البلاء، ولو كانت من فاجر أو من ظالم بل من كافر فإن الله تعالى يدفعُ بها عنهُ أنواعًا من البلاء، وهذا أمر معلوم عند الناس خاصتهم وعامتهم، وأهلُ الأرض كلُّهم مقرُّون به لأنَّهم جرَّبوه

“Surely, giving charity has an amazing effect in repelling all types of difficulties, even if this charity comes from a sinner or an oppressor, rather even it comes from a disbeliever. Surely Allah the Most High protects people through their charity from a variety of calamities, and this is something that is well-known and acknowledged by all people, because they have experienced its reality.”

Let us open our hands and spend in the way of Allah during this time of difficulty!

Let us spend in the way of Allah, and ask Him to lift the coronavirus pandemic from this world!

Let us spend in the way of Allah, and ask Him to welcome us back into His houses!

Let us spend in the way of Allah, and ask Him to rectify our situation and forgive our shortcomings!
