In the past, UFS volunteers have been successful in raising funds for a variety of projects at Tashirat including building a fence for an avocado orchard, sourcing heaters for the children's homes and repairing a damaged rooftop cistern for rainwater collection. During our time at Tashirat we were able to see some of these projects executed as a result of past volunteers' successful fundraising efforts.
Service to others is an important tenet of Islam and if we commit ourselves to serving others we learn how to better ourselves and fill our hearts and minds with greater understanding and empathy.
