Many medical facilities have been targeted while others are shut down to protect staff and patients.

Salam, we hope this message finds you in the best of health. As many of you know the situation in Idlib, Syria has gotten worse. Since April 28, at least 892 civilians were killed and over 1912 were wounded, almost half of the victims are children. At least 50 medical facilities were targeted and attacked, leaving hundreds of thousands with no access to medical care. 

Today is the last day to support  this campaign. Please give so we can continue to provide medical care to those who need it most!

The image below shows newborn babies being evacuated after an attack on the Iman Maternity hospital they were just born in, they were still in incubators. 

UOSSM has been working tirelessly to meet the needs of the newly displaced by operating more mobile clinics in areas of displacement and providing medical services to those who need it most. It is estimated that at least 750,000 were recently displaced, many with nowhere to go living under olive trees.

The image below went viral as big sister Reham, buried under the rubble tried to save her baby sister from falling. Unfortunately she died as the building collapsed. The children of Syria have had to endure so much.

Unfortunately, the people of Idlib have spent a very difficult Ramadan fleeing from attacks, losing loved ones, getting wounded and becoming displaced. No child should ever have to feel such fear. They have spent Ramadan not knowing when or even if they will have their next meal, being afraid, sad and alone, as the whole world has turned a blind eye to the atrocities. Haneen and Farah were 2 sisters that were wounded by airstrikes in October 2016, their mother thought they would never walk again.

UOSSM doctors helped these 2 girls and saved their lives. Please help UOSSM continue to do life saving work to help children and families throughout Syria.

The health situation in Syria continues to deteriorate, with a sharp rise in malnutrition cases. In response UOSSM began providing nutrition services in ALL UOSSM facilities. In 2017 UOSSM provided nutrition services to over 113,000 children under the age of 5! Recently, our mobile clinic also began providing nutrtition services. 

The need is so great. So many are still in desperate need for this and other types of medical aid and relief. UOSSM has been on the ground since 2012 providing free,medical care to those who need it most.
