Creating employment inside camp will stop Rohingya girls to be trapped by false job promise. Our training center helps women with skills to earn a livelihood.

Trap of false job offer !

Traffickers is offering false job offers to vulnerable women and children. Once an offer is accepted, individuals are trapped, sexually and forced into prostitution. Many of the girls will never see their family again.

The chaos, poverty, and insecurity in the camps has also led to an increase in forced and child marriage as families can view marriage as an opportunity to protect their daughters and reduce their economic overhead.

Simple & Effective Actions:

We want to create more jobs for Rohingya women inside the camp. We have seen first-hand how powerful it is to train women with real skills and training, through our existing projects in camp, where we have already trained dozens of women. We are extending these projects in Refugee camps, so we can now help more women. You can visit the album of our existing project

How it will be done?

With your donations, we will be able to support 56 extremely needy and skillful sisters to create a small business and earn sufficient income to help themselves and their families, Insha’Allah. Your donations will not only support their home, but you will support the education and well-being of those under them as well. We make regular visits, provide appropriate guidance and training to ensure effective utilization.

The impact you can be a part of – our success:

Sultana was a young widow with three small children. In order to support herself, she used to rely on begging from house to house.  When we found her, we brought her to our workplace and encouraged her to begin training. After completing three months of advanced training, she is now a skilled resource and able to produce readymade garments. She relies entirely on our center to work – she has no machine or space of her own. We now want to help Sultana start a small ready-made garment shop, where she can sell items for ladies and small children. She will buy garments from wholesale vendors and made a reasonable profit from it.

We’re getting noticed – check out our work

There is also considerable media coverage of our work in Rohingya Camp, which you can view below:

  1. News in national TV channel about our Rohingya campaign

  2. Campaign video made by one European volunteer

     3. Video made by German volunteer

You can also see video footage on our facebook page. We have separate pages for Refugee Campaign and Orphanage project

Volunteer based work:

Local and international volunteers are working on this project. Anybody can join the team with short notice, however please keep in mind that we are not able to provide any benefits to volunteers. From purchase to distribution, all the work is done by volunteers, with no outsourcing. You can also be a part of this project.  Please write to us at info@refugee.store for recruitment.

Financial transparency:

Although audits are not obligatory for voluntary organizations in Bangladesh, we want to be transparent for donors, and in order to ensure complete financial transparency, we have the reputed firm, ACNABIN Bangladesh, conduct an annual audit. From our audited financials, you can see that Admin and Management costs are close to zero.

Approval for Training Center:

After continuous follow-up, we have secured the required approvals for the training center.

Drinking water for saving Orphan Children

Donate for Save Water

Lack of access to clean drinking water means children are vulnerable to serious disease. Please help us as be build a water purification system for 245 orphan.

Across our five orphanages, we house over 245 children, who have each lost their parents, often at a very young age. The remote locations of the facilities, means that we are unable to provide access to clean water, for cooking, drinking or even bathing. Yet, we have nowhere else to house these children.
