Help restore the sight of 2000 refugees in the 'forgotten refugee camps' of South Tokar, Sudan. 

These are the people of Abyssinia (Eritrea) who gave refuge to the Sahaba even before Medina, now long forgotten...you can be their hope and help them to walk out of the darkness and to see the faces of their loved ones!

What your Donation means?

Your support; donating to and sharing this campaign will help restore the vision of 200 refugees through the provision of a simple surgical procedure. It will provide an additional 18,000 refugees with essential eye care including examinations, minor surgeries, medication and aftercare.

The impact goes beyond giving one person their sight; it improves the quality of life for everyone in their family. In camps where they are fighting for survival; with little or no food and water, the blind are dependent on their families.

You will give them the freedom to support themselves and their families, giving them all a better chance at surviving, no longer restricted by their blindness. Children will be able to attend school; parents can travel alone to collect food and water and work.

Who is ETHAR RELIEF? Who we help?

We are a small NGO founded by Sultan Omar, an ex-refugee and Orphan himself who has committed his life to serving the refugees in the camps of East Sudan, for over 50 years.

We aim to alleviate the suffering of the poor in the Horn of Africa through our aid and sustainable projects. We implement projects in several countries including Sudan, Yemen, Djibouti, Ethiopia and Somalia.

Our core projects focus on helping the 'forgotten refugees' who fled war and oppression in Eritrea. Given refuge in poverty-stricken Sudan, they have been neglected by the media and international aid agencies for over 50 years. There is a dire lack of food, water, education and essential medical care in these camps. This small campaign can help just some of those, giving them and the future generations a chance to break free from the cycle of poverty.
