Over a million Syrian refugees are currently displaced in Lebanon (UNHCR). During these winter months, temperatures have fallen to below freezing, with snow and rain setting in. The winter storm dubbed 'Norma' hit Lebanon on Saturday 5th January, affecting 'at least 151 informal camps which host 11,000 refugees' (UNHCR). UN refugee agency spokeswoman Lisa Abou Khaled told national public radio "at least 850 other makeshift shelter sites, which host a combined 70,000 refugees, are also at risk of being damaged from the bad winter weather." (UNHCR). This has made the Syrians even more vulnerable. In such  conditions emergency assistance is imperative. With just $85, we can transform their winter, making it survivable.

Yasir Qadhi and others, are currently working in the camps with partners on ground ​to help orphan children by not only distributing winter packs but also providing them with access the quality education needed  to improve their lives long-term. Please help us to reach our goal to ensure 3000 children are dressed, able to keep warm, and attend school. 

Each winter pack will contain 20L Heating Oil, a jacket, scarf, blanket, hat, socks and gloves. Please donate to the cause and help us reach as many children as possible.
