What is Sufi Comics?

Sufi Comics started with a simple idea: to make the rich spiritual wisdom of Islamic traditions accessible to everyone. Using visual storytelling, we offer powerful lessons that allow readers to pause, reflect, and find guidance amidst the busy pace of life.

We have published six books so far, and this is our seventh in the series.

About the Creator

Hi, I’m Mohammed Ali Vakil, creator of Sufi Comics.

Life is busy, and finding time for spiritual growth can feel challenging. My goal with Sufi Comics is to simplify spiritual wisdom from Islamic traditions—using short, engaging stories and visuals to nurture the soul.

Volumes 1 and 2 have been loved by readers worldwide. We’ve had amazing experiences at Comic Cons and other events, meeting people who find meaning and inspiration in these stories.

This project means a lot to me because we all have doubts and questions about life, our purpose, and how to handle challenges. I wanted to present insights on these questions from a spiritual perspective, while incorporating my own experiences.

I wanted to do it in a way that is easily understood—visual, and yet thought-provoking long after reading. Since I call these comics Sufi Comics, I like to connect each lesson to a verse from the Quran.
