What are we Paying Forward?

The “Pay It Forward” is a system that allows the public to pay for someone else’s purchases or services, usually the less privileged. Throughout this campaign, Teman Malaysia will be collecting donations from the public to help sponsoring the elderly in PKWE Al-Fattah who will be needing our care companion services which will be focusing on health appointment, dialysis treatment, as well as customized activities such Iqra’ and Al Quran learning because those are the type of activities that they enjoy the most, according to the recent interview that we had with them. We target that by running this campaign, these unfortunate  elderly will be able to be sponsored for 8 months, starting  from June 2021 until January 2021.

Who are the beneficiaries of this campaign?

Teman Malaysia aims to benefit two primary beneficiaries; the elderlies in PKWE Al-Fattah and Encik Azlan. The elderlies will be benefiting from the care companionship services that we will be able to provide from the sponsors by the public throughout this campaign. On a side note, as Encik Azlan is now our official Temanion (a term that we use to call our freelance care companion), he will also benefit from the service by acquiring side incomes as he accompanies the elderly in PKWE Al-Fattah to health appointments and dialysis treatments. The side incomes that he will be gaining from the services will help him to bear the operation and transportation cost of sustaining PKWE Al-Fattah.

Other than that, our secondary beneficiaries would be the Temanions who will be in charge of the customized activities such as Iqra’ and Al-Quran learning, as they will be getting side incomes while enjoying their passion in giving back to the community. As a social enterprise startup company, Teman Malaysia will also be able to sustain as a small portion from the paid amount of every service will be contributed to the operation costs.

What is the measure of impact?

We hope that with enough funding to provide our services there, we would be able to empower the elderly in PKWE Al-Fattah to live happily and gracefully in their golden age despite the unfortunate events that have happened in their lives. On top of that, by becoming our Temanion who provides care companionship service to the elderly in PKWE Al-Fattah to health appointments and dialysis treatment, we hope that the side incomes that Encik Azlan will be gaining will help to reduce the burden that he carries all this while to sustain the care home. On a side note, as a social enterprise startup, we also target to raise awareness to the public about helping the elderly in need. With a team which is made of a bunch of passionate founders and Temanions, we are grateful to share this opportunity with you for us to make that difference.
