My Journey to Hajj: A Call for Support

Assalamu Alaikum,

My name is Javeria Khadija, and I am reaching out with a heartfelt request. As a Sayyida—a direct descendant of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)—I am preparing for the sacred pilgrimage of Hajj, a journey that is deeply meaningful to me both spiritually and personally.

The Significance of Hajj

Hajj is a once-in-a-lifetime obligation for those who are physically and financially able. It is the ultimate act of submission, a journey of purification, and an opportunity to seek Allah’s mercy. The pilgrimage traces the footsteps of Prophets and reminds us of our purpose, humility, and unity as an Ummah.

Why I Am Seeking Your Support

While I have been saving for this journey, the costs associated with Hajj—including travel, accommodation, and necessary provisions—are significant. To fulfill this sacred duty, I am reaching out to my community for support.

A Clarification on Contributions

As a Sayyida, I cannot accept Zakat or Sadaqah. However, if you wish to contribute, you may do so as a gift. If you observe Khums, you may allocate the Sahm al-Sada (the portion designated for the descendants of the Prophet) towards this cause. Your support will be a means of sharing in the blessings of Hajj, and I will carry your duas with me on this sacred journey.

How the Funds Will Be Used

All contributions will go directly toward:

• Travel Expenses – Airfare to and from Saudi Arabia

• Accommodation – Lodging in Mecca and Medina

• Hajj Fees – Mandatory pilgrimage costs

• Essential Provisions – Meals, transportation, and supplies

I am committed to full transparency and will ensure that all funds are used solely for this purpose. After completing my pilgrimage, I will share reflections and updates with my supporters.
