As one of the few Muslim Elementary schools in Chicago, Prairie Academy prides itself on being a diverse, inclusive institution. We open our doors to families from all socio-economic backgrounds. Currently, over 30% of our student body receives scholarships.

Why We're Fundraising

Being a growing school, the majority of our funding that helps pay our teachers and staff comes from student tuitions. In light of COVID-19, many of our families have been financially impacted by the state-wide closures, making it difficult to continue to pay tuition. We want to support our teachers and staff to continue to  deliver the same learning experience remotely.

We are committed to continue providing the Prairie experience to our entire student body regardless of economic hardship. Your support today will help families and teachers alike, and continue to grow one of Chicago’s thriving Muslim schools.

​About Our School

Prairie Academy is one of the few Islamic Schools in the city of Chicago that is internationally accredited, and an Illinois State recognized school. Our school focuses on hands-on, exploratory learning that nurtures children’s curiosity in a supportive, academically rigorous environment. We celebrate each child’s accomplishments and provide support for every student to grow at their own pace. Prairie Academy students are taught the foundations of Islam and the principles of strong character based on our Prophetic tradition. We offer Arabic classes that introduce the fundamentals of the language as students learn Hadith and Surahs everyday.
