Aaliyah, Princess Knight is a charming story that wholeheartedly embraces the wild, wacky, hilarious and nonsensical. In a world where adorable magical creatures are always in danger from scheming villains, a team of heroes is ready to jump in and save the day—no matter how wacky the threat! 

Our heroes have endearing quirks and relatable adventures that will captivate the young audience, while weaving in important life lessons. The film explores universal childhood experiences from a culturally informed lens. Themes such as discovering yourself, making mistakes, relationships with family and friends, the struggle between duty to family and individualism, and mental health are approached through the perspective of care and community - core values amongst Muslims.

Mogul is a fictional kingdom where humans and strange yet adorable magical creatures live together. It is an eclectic blend of tech with traditional high fantasy elements like monarchs and magical creatures, all pulled together with heavy Mughal influences in its architecture, language, clothing, and culture.

Our show is set in the bustling capital of Mogul Kingdom, ruled by a kind and generous Badshah (King) and Malikah (Queen).

Aaliyah, Princess-Knight is an animated series from Spaghettifish Productions, a team of Muslim creatives and storytellers based across Canada, U.S., and Australia. Featuring Muslim heroes and visual development heavily inspired by the Islamic Mughal Empire, Aaliyah, Princess-Knight would be a pioneer in Muslim representation in kids' animation, particularly within the sci-fi and fantasy genres.

While animation is quite costly, we believe Muslim children deserve high-quality cartoons filled with good values, drawing from our rich history and featuring characters who will make them proud of their Muslim identity and heritage. We’ve created a rich world, a cast of hilarious, lovable heroes and villains, and invite you along to be part of this journey.

The funds raised will be used to produce and animate a scene from the show, which will then be shown as proof of concept and evidence of demand to secure funding for a pilot episode and then the full series.
