HELP us raise vital funds the extension and restoration of Britain's first Mosque.

We aim to help fully purchase the building and transform “Abdullah Quilliam” Britain's first mosque, into the regions largest inspirational heritage and educational centre. 

106 years after the closure of the Abdullah Quilliam Mosque in Liverpool, Allah blessed the Muslim community by reopening the doors in 2013. Now, with just over 10 years work undergone on restoration and expansion, the Mosque is the pinnacle of the Liverpool community and beyond. It has firmly planted itself into the culture of Liverpool life for both Muslims and non-Muslims, fostering a culture of understanding and compassion.

Alhamdulilah by the grace of Allah we own building 1-10 Brougham Terrace, now the last property on our block has become available. We would like to purchase it and allow the intentions of Shaykh Abdullah Quilliam to become manifest by remodelling this building with his original architectural drawings. 

The success of Abdullah Quilliam Mosque is attributed to the legacy of Shaykh Abdullah Quilliam, the mosque has become more that just a place of worship, it is also a means of social welfare for many, featuring many health events and opening it's doors to feeding thousands of local people during the month of Ramadan and beyond. Educationally, the mosque caters for all ages from children to adulthood leaving no one behind in enhancing the lives and knowledge of all.

The mosque continues to house communal daily prayers, Jummah prayers and tarawih prayers for all. However, it is not just a place of worship it is a central hub that provides a sanctuary, enlightenment and ease to its congregation and beyond. 

Dawah and building strong relations with the neighbouring community is an integral part of the Abdullah Quilliam Mosques ethos. The heritage aspect of this mosque is quite unique and is a focal point of much interest from non muslims. Abdullah Quilliam often host heritage information days allowing the exploration of the mosque and dialogue between all. Preserving this historical building not only adds to the aesthetics and cultural values of the city but is beneficial to the relations between muslims and non muslims.
