Frontline Community, Based in Tower Hamlets are fundraising together to help renovate a Home for disabled children in Bangladesh which is in urgent need of work.
Chattogram, where the echoes of laughter should be the melody of childhood, lies a haven that has become both a refuge and a testament to the resilience of the human spirit. Since 1995, the boys and girls home has cradled the dreams of orphaned and mentally disabled children, offering a sanctuary from life's storms. Currently, 194 children are living in 2 hostel, even though its capacity is only for 50 disabled children.
Most of them are orphans from broken family backgrounds with extreme poverty conditions. The home is the only place of hope for these disadvantaged children. However, over the years, the building and living conditions have deteriorated due to a lack of resources, requiring renovation, bedding, and other essentials to ensure safety and improved living conditions. The reality is harsh: overcrowded bedrooms, dilapidated beds, dining space, windows, stairs, storeroom, kitchen room, washrooms, verandas, floors, and worn-out doors, tell tales of a battle these children did not choose.
It is an urgent call, not just for bricks and mortar, but for a restoration of dignity and a renewal of hope that transcends the physical realm. Within the crumbling walls and worn-out floors of this cherished home, a poignant need emerges — a call for renewal, for a chance at brighter tomorrows. Together, let's rebuild more than just walls; let's reconstruct dreams, one brick at a time.
The bedrooms are badly damaged, putting children at risk of health problems.
