Since April 28, at least 892 civilians were killed and over 1912 were wounded, almost half of the victims are children. At least 50 medical facilities were targeted and attacked, leaving hundreds of thousands with no access to medical care.

Salam- Ramadan Kareem. Peace and blessings to you in this blessed month.

As you read this message the people in Idlib are suffering immensely. They are under attack...At least 160 have been killed and at least 600 were wounded. A large number of those casualties are women and children. As of today, 19 medical facilities were targeted and put out of service. According to our sources on the ground, the bombardment has forced over 350,000 to flee the violence. They have nowhere to turn so at least 20% of those displaced are living under the olive trees. They are deprived of food, water, basic sanitation and medical care. See video here.

Haneen and Farah were 2 sisters that were wounded by airstrikes in October 2016, their mother thought they would never walk again.

As the situation in Syria continues to deteriorate, it is important now more than ever to tell the story and heroism of the doctors and medical professionals that have endured so much over the past seven years. 

UOSSM USA has chosen to sponsor a group of filmmakers in California that are working towards creating a short film that will tell the story of the doctors in Aleppo. You can watch the video of the trailer here. Many UOSSM doctors participated in the interviews and you will see them in the trailer, the goal is to let the story be told, and to let the world know the types of sacrifices doctors and medical professionals made over and over again, just to help and provide care to those who need it most. 

Please support this film even a few dollars will make a difference. The story must be told and go down in history. The atrocities must be known, you can be a part of this. We at UOSSM USA have launched an emergency fundraiser in light of the terrible chemical weapons attack that happened just days ago, over 100 were killed, including 25 children,  and over 750 were injured, many of those injured are in critical condition.

As we have seen these types of attacks over and over again, we start to feel helpless, like there is absolutely nothing we can do. But we can do something, at the very least we can support organizations like UOSSM USA.  UOSSM is on the ground providing medical care and relief to those who need it most. Many area hospitals were put out of service and many areas are very low on medications and supplies. First of all, we want to thank you for the generous donations that have made this campaign possible. I speak for the both of us when we say that we have been overwhelmed by the contributions that we continue to see day in and day out. This campaign has truly been a people's movement, with nearly 850 good-willed supporters!

Our original goal was set at $50,000, but after 48 hours, we knew that we should raise our goal and challenge our communities to do more, setting the bar at $100,000. Alhamdulilah, we are currently at $95,000 raised!
