About Us

Al-Ikhlas Training Academy is a non-profit, full-time Islamic school, established in the City of Detroit serving students from Preschool through 12th grades. Our mission is to empower every student with the knowledge of Allah, His creation, and the knowledge of self. In so doing, we intend to bring out of each of them the fullness of their innate potential. At ATA, we create an environment that allows each student to maximize his/her abilities academically, socially, and spiritually. This is a must, if they are to become healthy, productive citizens of the world community. To accomplish this, our administration and staff make every effort to foster and maintain an open relationship between student, parent, and school.

33 Graduating Classes and Counting

We have not only built over three decades of young people solidified in their Muslim identity, but who excel academically and professionally (Alhamdulilah). Our alumni have gone on to graduate from some of the nation's most prestigious universities including Columbia School of Journalism, the University of Michigan and Georgetown Law School. ATA alumni are doctors, lawyers, journalists, engineers, associate physicians, nurses, educators, social workers, and much more. They are graduating summa cum laude from university honor's programs and securing their place on competitive lists such as Wayne State University's College of Engineering’s Dean's List.

But above all else, they are striving servants of Allah, and that is the Al-Ikhlas Difference.

Again, it's important to note, Al-Ikhlas Training Academy (ATA) boasts a storied heritage, celebrating 33 senior classes since its founding. ATA's influence reaches well beyond its educational sphere, evidenced by the notable accomplishments of its alumni across various sectors. Highlighted achievements include:

Higher Education: ATA alumni have gained admission to some of the nation's most esteemed universities, such as:
