The Story: Why We Need Your Support

Every child deserves love, care, and a chance for a brighter future. This Ramadan, 13 Rivers Trust is hosting a Gaza & Sylhet TV Appeal to raise urgent funds for orphaned children in crisis-stricken regions. Many orphans in Gaza are struggling with war, trauma, and lack of basic necessities, while in Sylhet, extreme poverty leaves children vulnerable without access to proper education and care.

Orphans Excelling in Their Studies

Marjana, an orphan, excels in her studies, ranking first in her class and receiving a scholarship with the help of the Rescue Orphans Programme by 13 Rivers Trust. This program provides her with tuition, school fees, and essential educational materials, supporting her dream of becoming a doctor.

After her father’s death three years ago, Marjana’s family faced severe financial hardship. Her mother started working in other homes, and her brother drives a rented rickshaw. Thanks to Rescue Orphans, they received vital support, including a sewing machine for her mother and a new brick house consisting of two bedrooms, an indoor kitchen, and a bathroom with a tubewell. Improving their living conditions provided much-needed stability.

Children of Shaheed: Ayah & Muhammad

“I am sitting amongst children of Shaheed.”
Ayah, a young orphan, dreams of becoming a doctor. She has already memorised the full Quran despite the immense hardships she has faced.

Muhammad, 14, has also memorised the Quran and shares the same dream of becoming a doctor.

After their father was killed, they had to leave Gaza. They now live in desperate conditions, in need of food, clothing, rent assistance, and education support. We need families to come together and help the likes of Ayah and Muhammad.

"I and the person who looks after an orphan and provides for him will be in Paradise like this," said the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, placing his index and middle fingers together (Bukhari).

Fund Allocation & Donation Packages

£3,500 – Build Safe Orphan Homes
Your donation will help build a secure, comfortable home for orphans living in unsafe or inadequate conditions. These homes provide stability, safety, and a nurturing environment where children can grow and thrive. A safe home is more than a shelter; it’s a foundation for a brighter future.

£500 – Emergency Relief Fund
This fund is used to address urgent and immediate needs of orphaned children in crisis situations. Your support will provide essential items like food, clothing, and medical care, ensuring that vulnerable orphans receive the help they need when they need it most.

£25/month or £300/year – Orphan Sponsorship (Food, Medical Care, Education)
By sponsoring an orphan, you are providing a child with access to nutritious food, essential medical care, and quality education. Your sponsorship ensures that these children have the resources they need to thrive and build a better future for themselves.

£25/month – Orphan Sponsorship for Palestine & Gaza
Support orphaned children in Palestine and Gaza who have lost their parents due to conflict and hardship. Your sponsorship ensures they receive food, medical care, education, and emotional support to help rebuild their lives.

£50 – Baby Milk for Orphans
Many orphaned infants lack access to proper nutrition, putting their health and survival at risk. Your donation will provide lifesaving baby milk and essential nutrition to infants in Gaza and Bangladesh who have lost their mothers or caregivers.

£100 – Livelihood Programs
Help orphans in Bangladesh become self-sufficient through livelihood programs. Your donation will fund vocational training, educational support, and income-generating activities, empowering orphaned children to lead independent and productive lives, breaking the cycle of poverty.

£20 – Eid Gifts
Bring joy to an orphan’s heart by contributing towards Eid gifts. Your donation will help provide new clothes, toys, and sweets, allowing orphaned children to celebrate Eid with happiness and dignity.

£5 – First Responder Support
Be the first to respond to the needs of orphans in crisis. Your contribution will go towards immediate support in emergencies, such as food packs, blankets, and hygiene kits, ensuring vulnerable children receive timely assistance in critical situations.

Meet Priti’s Story

Priti, an 11-year-old girl, lost her parents at a tender age. She now lives with her younger brother, Munayem, who has a severe disability, and her partially blind aunt. Despite her young age, Priti shoulders immense responsibility, caring for her family and managing household tasks.

Their home is in disrepair, and they lack access to essential resources. Your support can transform their lives, providing them with stability, healthcare, and education.
