WHAT IS CRAFTING LOVE AND HOPE 

Crafting Love and Hope (CLH) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the wellbeing of impoverished families by providing or connecting them with educational, social, and livelihood support. We empower youth through English and technology training, and we empower women through skills building. 

FOUNDER STORY

Saloua Lahlou, founder of Crafting Love and Hope, grew up as an orphan herself as her father died when she was 9 months old. Her mother became an artisan and supported the education of Saloua and her brothers. Saloua's English and technology skills have enabled her to work for leading IT companies, and she wants to transfer those skills to orphans around the world. Crafting Love and Hope also empowers women to become artisans. 

HOW WE USE THE FUNDS

Project B.R.I.D.G.E.S has partnered with Sannabil Al Khair, an orphanage in Ain Atiq, outside of Rabat, Morocco to serve orphans aged 13 to 19 by providing English education and technology training. Our current classes run from Monday to Thursday serving 40 students. Our next goal is to achieve the following:

• Provide out of the classroom experiences to our current students which include field trips. We currently have an upcoming trip scheduled to the Microsoft Casablanca office on June 28th where we will expose students to coding skills, 3D printing and virtual reality.  
• Fund for 60 tablets to be used in future classrooms
• Fund for 20 computers to build our computer labs to provide technology related lessons such as coding lessons. We will place 10 computers at Sanabil Al Khair orphanage, and another 10 computers at a new facility by the end of 2017. 
• Expand our work to other orphanages and shelters

WHY OUR PROJECT IS IMPORTANT 

The English language is undeniably an essential part of communication in our current time. As we progress internationally by providing research, studies and marketability through English, our youth in many parts of the world are getting left behind. Project B.R.I.D.G.E.S aims to Build Ready, Inspired, Distinguished, Generations with English Skills. Without the ability to gain necessary skills to improve their lives, we leave our youth with a future in the depths of poverty. Crafting Love and Hope wants build B.R.I.D.G.E.S for our students so that they can have the opportunities that may lead them to a brighter tomorrow.

With B.R.I.D.G.E.S we can lead our youth to greater heights and craft them with love, hope, and education.
