In Sana'a, Yemen, water remains to be the communities most valuable resource. If accessible, families can explore additional avenues for obtaining food, mitigate the risk of diseases, and pursue sustainable livelihoods. Help Action For Humanity Canada bring water to 4000 people in Yemen by building a water well in the name of Ibrahim Khalil (الله يرحمه). 

Ibrahim Khalil, the cousin of Action For Humanity Canada's CEO, Rania Lawendy, has passed away after battling with a brain tumor, leaving behind two orphaned children. In his name, we are building a water well in Sana'a, Yemen, one of the most war-affected areas. With your assistance, the well will provide access to safe water for 4000 people.

Young children and women in Yemen bear the primary responsibility of fetching water, embarking on daily journeys of several kilometers to distant sources when the well is dysfunctional. Sadly, these alternative water sources are often contaminated, posing more harm than benefit to the families relying on them.

Action For Humanity aims to provide more than 4000 people in the rural villages of Sana’a with access to safe drinking water, through the rehabilitation of a major water source and increasing sustainability through the installation of a water pump, solar power and critical rehabilitation. 

In addition to ensuring the critical water needs of the community are met, Action For Humanity will also seek additional funding from other sources to address gaps in food security, health, sanitation, shelter, protection and sustainable livelihood. With your support to provide one community with water, you open the door for more assistance to come to these villages and address a wide range of needs.
