As we approach the holy month of Ramadan, we are reminded of the importance of giving back to our communities and helping those in need. In this spirit, I am reaching out to you to ask for your support in our effort to provide food packages to families in need during Ramadan IN Gaza strip. 

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a devastating impact on many families, particularly those who have lost their jobs or have had their income reduced. These families are struggling to put food on the table, and Ramadan can be an especially challenging time for them.

We are working with local organizations and teams to provide food packages that will help these families get through the month of Ramadan. Each food package will contain essential items such as rice, flour, lentils, oil, sugar, and dates.

We are asking for your support in this effort. Your donation will help us provide food packages to as many families as possible. Any amount you can give will make a difference.

NORTH GAZA STRIP:

This family has its house burnt down twice due to overnight candle use.

With our solar solution, the family can sleep peacefully at night, their kids will be able to study and watch their favorite TV cartoon as the rest of the kids all around the world. Socialization, healing, peace of mind and the right to pursue a normal life is incredibly important parts of understanding justice and human rights.

Energy doesn't just enable. It empowers.

SOUTH GAZA STRIP:

This father could not run his private telecommunication shop and the mother, a teacher, could not work due to lack of electricity.

Thus, they were not able to earn an income.

The day SunBox installed a solar kit for them for free, the family celebrated by watching FIFA at their house because the family was able to run the TV!

Dear supporters,

SunBox stands in solidarity with families and businesses in the Gaza Strip, where more than 2 million people’s lives are at stake. 

To avert hospital closures, raw sewage overflowing onto streets of Gaza, the UN Humanitarian Coordinator, called on the Israeli occupation to allow UN-purchased emergency fuel the besieged enclave.

To ensure that hospitals, water and sanitation services function properly over the next four days, the respective humanitarian partners have indicated that at least 60,000 litres of emergency fuel must be delivered as soon as possible, to some 46 facilities across the strip.

“Gaza desperately needs longer-term solutions so we can move past this cycle of repeated or worsening crises, including that Palestinian authorities prioritize provision of fuel for essential services,” said Mr. McGoldrick, the UN Humanitarian Coordinator.

This news shows the grave and unavoidable impact of the energy crisis.

We started installing pilot systems for our first clients! The systems are providing families with lights, charging their devices, allowing them to watch TV and have a normal, healthy life. Our first large shipments are now reaching the region as well. Stay tuned!
