After many years of waiting, by the grace of Allah SWT, we have secured a property for the Muslim community's welfare. It is located in Matsudo city , suburb of Tokyo. Currently, Muslims practice salah and other mandatory Islamic duties in small Musallah in rental places in this city, but there is no central masjid or community center for Friday and daily prayers at least 1 hours of computation.

Matsudo Masjid: 

As the Muslim community in Matsudo city, Chiba prefecture, Japan, is growing steadily. This area is close to Tokyo, and many Muslim families live here, commuting to Tokyo for work. Currently, there are over 300 families in this area, creating a significant demand for a mosque. .The need for a mosque in this area has been present for a long time, Alhamdulillah! By the grace of Allah SWT and with the generous support of the Muslim community in Japan and abroad, the ICOJ-Japan Mosque Foundation successfully acquired premises for the Matsudo Masjid Project in suburbs of Tokyo on November 29, 2024.  While praying to Allah SWT, now acquired premises required $130,000 for transformation of this premises to a beautiful masjid by the blessed month of Ramadan. Hence seeking your kind support and cooperation with generous donations. Your generous support is most valuable for our project .

What the Matsudo masjid Offer :

Our new masjid will be more than just a place of worship. It will feature various facilities to cater to the diverse needs of our community:

Daily and Friday Prayer : established the salah for daily and weekly Friday prayer .

Teaching Quran, hadith and Islamic Teaching : Establishing the Madrasa for teaching the Quran and Islam teaching  to community member including young Muslim and reverted brother and sister .

Weekly Gathering  for remembrance : All masjid manage and operated by ICOJ have weekly program (Dars-e-Quran/Hadith) on every Saturday after ISHA along with dinner , and we are committed to organized the program on this upcoming masjid .

Dawah-center : To propagate the Islam to Japanese community include  Iftar parties, Eid fest, cultural activities to interact with non-Muslim (Japanese)to introduce the Islam  , keep Muslim with adherence to Islam .

Counselling center : A culturally appropriate space for counselling and family mediation services, addressing the various social and mental issue for community .

Young Muslim /Muslimah :  This is the place for young Muslims/Muslimah. According to our Salaf and Saleheen, every Muslim has the responsibility to raise the next generation with Islamic morals. To support such noble causes, young Muslims/Muslimah need a space. 
 Here, we provide a platform to train the next generation of messengers of Islam to reach out to non-Muslims. We organize monthly, half-yearly, and yearly meet-up programs to understand the issues faced by the young generation in our society and provide solutions according to the Quran, Sunnah, and the teachings of the righteous predecessors. Also  organized encouragement program like  Workshops, Seminars, Training Camps, Picnics, Sports events, BBQ parties and different competitions. Also encouragement programs and volunteers activity for social services   Our ultimate goal is to prepare them for future leadership roles.

Why Your Support Matters: 

As you may know, the Muslim population in Japan is quite small compared to other countries with larger Muslim communities. According to 2023 statistics, there are approximately 250,000 Muslims living in Japan, and, thankfully, this number is growing every year. Most of the community members here have migrated from various countries due to their circumstances or in search of a better life. It is quite challenging for us to establish infrastructure on our own, so we are reaching out to our fellow Muslim globally.

2. Cost of Building : 58.5  million JPY /390,000 USD (approx).

3. Reform cost : 19.5million JPY/130,000 USD(approx) .
