Background on the Need for a School in North Syria 

In a world where education is a fundamental human right, it is heart-breaking to see so many Syrian children being denied this precious opportunity. 11 years of war have left the country's education system in shambles, and poverty forces children to work instead of attending school. 2.4 million children have no access to education, and 1.6 million more are at risk of dropping out. These children deserve a chance to learn, grow, and fulfill their potential. It's time for us to step up and support their right to education. Let's give them hope for a better future and a brighter tomorrow (UNHCER, 2022). 

Shattered Dreams: The Urgent Need to Address the Lack of Safe Learning Environments 

The dreams and futures of innocent children are shattered by the lack of access to a quality and safe learning environment. With each day that passes, they fall further behind their peers, unable to fulfill their potential. The despairing reality is that schools are not being repaired fast enough, leaving these children unable to learn and grow. UN confirmed that there is an education gap and the cluster needs about 47.6M $ (UN; Dec; 2022). In some areas, tented classes of clothes are the only option available.

Bringing Light to the Lives of Syrian Children 

We are delighted to share with you a phenomenal opportunity that will bring lasting change and hope to children. Here at Bonyan, we are dedicated to making a difference in the world, and we need YOUR HELP. We are planning to build a school for 1,150 Syrian children living in Al-Bab in Northwest Syria, and we need your generous donation of $200K to make this dream come true. 

Today, we need your assistance to make sure that more children have the opportunity to learn and achieve academic success. Furthermore; We all desire to pursue education and make the world a better place.  

A New Dawn for Syrian Children: 

Establishing this school will be another step since Bonyan is a pioneer in education. We are ensuring that more Syrian children have access to education. The school will offer to provide the following: 

There will be three floors in the school (ground floor, first and second floor). 

• With a total of 5,000 m2, the school includes 23 classrooms, three laboratories, and eight administrative rooms.
• Approximately 1,150 students who desire to learn even further and their knowledge will be eligible to enroll at this school.
• It will open up many job opportunities for teachers in the area.
• Each student who joins this school can become a doctor or an engineer. They won't just support their families; they'll go on to build and help their war-torn regions in the future.
• Students need to run two daily shifts (Day and Afternoon) to cover their overall needs. 
   

The children of Al-Bab have lived through unimaginable suffering due to war and displacement. Many of these children have only known violence and chaos as their way of life for far too long. Our proposed school will provide them with an opportunity for growth, learning, creativity, and innovation - something that has been denied since the beginning of the conflict.

Countless children are denied the right to education and are forced to walk the path of ignorance, building a school becomes a sacred task, an act of mercy and compassion as Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:  

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Allah makes the way to Jannah easy for him who treads the path in search of knowledge."
