In many cases, those on the frontlines defending our communities and our institutions are young Muslim leaders. These young leaders have shown tremendous dedication and commitment to serving their communities and various humanitarian causes around the globe.  

At Oaktree Institute, we believe investing in this young generation of leaders who will protect and serve our community’s causes today and in the future is imperative. Yet, these young Muslims require continued support, guidance, and development to further their growth as leaders and the impact we need them to make. Your generous support to our Young Leaders Sponsorship Fund in 2023 enabled us to train and develop over 295 young leaders nationwide!

At Oaktree Institute, we understand the significance of providing leadership development and guidance to empower young Muslim leaders to navigate the challenges they face now and will face in the future. For over ten years,  our tailored leadership development programs have addressed the unique challenges of young Muslim community leaders and are designed to equip them with essential leadership skills to navigate those challenges. Leadership skills such as planning, influence and communication, managing crises, and adaptive leadership are all needed to excel in dynamic community settings. 

Our track record has shown a tremendous impact on the knowledge and skills leaders have used to maximize their ability to be servant leaders within the nonprofits they work in. With your continued support, we can sustain our efforts to empower young Muslim leaders and foster a stronger and more resilient community. 

We provide ongoing training and assistance to many young leaders and youth organizations who lack the financial means for crucial developmental opportunities during a pivotal stage in their lives.

Our focus is to develop value-driven, action-focused, results-oriented leaders for the Muslim community!  Our expert team focuses on developing strong leadership skills in our community. We offer training to nonprofits across the country, including community centers, mosques, youth groups, and campuses. Rooted in our commitment to cultivating the next generation of leaders, we strive to equip individuals who will positively influence their communities and confront future challenges with resilience and determination.

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we've had the honor of providing training and coaching to hundreds of young individuals nationwide, many of whom do not have the financial resources to invest in training and development. We developed our Young Leaders Sponsorship Fund to support them regardless of financial abilities.

Our programs encompass crucial leadership and organizational skills for navigating today's challenges, including fostering a servant-leader mindset, navigating adversity, and establishing robust organizational structures. By imparting valuable planning and management skills, we empower our trainees to craft impactful programs and services that resonate within their communities.

What We Offer Young Muslim Leaders:

In the current political landscape, both nationally and within the context of ongoing crises such as the situation in Palestine, effective leadership skills are indispensable for navigating complexities and driving meaningful change. Leaders equipped with strategic vision, diplomacy, and empathy can bridge divides and foster dialogue, which is crucial in fostering understanding and consensus-building on national and international levels. Moreover, leaders adept at crisis management can mobilize resources efficiently and inspire collective action, which is vital for addressing urgent humanitarian needs and advocating for justice in conflict zones like Palestine. 

We offer a range of training and coaching programs that are designed to empower young Muslim leaders:

For MSAs: Your generous support enables us to provide crucial training for leading and managing MSAs and On campus organizations. With your help, young leaders gain the skills to navigate their roles effectively and drive positive change within their communities.

For Youth Directors: Through your contributions, we offer training programs that empower Youth Directors to understand and address the unique needs of youth in their communities. Your support enables us to provide coaching and guidance, fostering confident and effective leadership among these young leaders.

For Young Community Leaders: Your donations allow us to offer valuable resources and expertise to young Muslim leaders and organizations investing in youth development. With your continued support, we can ensure our community thrives with capable and empowered leaders.

What You Can Do to Help This Campaign?

• Sponsor an entire training for a Youth Organization or MSA ($1000)
• Sponsor training for one young leader in a Youth Organization or MSA  ($100)
• Sponsor whatever quantity you can. No amount is insignificant!
