• We are raising funds towards building a borehole water system and towards helping towards building an islamic school in The Gambia.

Asalamualaykum. As many of you know we sadly and unexpectedly lost Iffat Nawaz (daughter of uncle Mohhamed Nawaz, sister of Qasim and Faraz Nawaz, and wife of Altaf Tayub.)

Death is the only thing promised in this life, yet nothing in this world can prepare you for the loss of a loved one. Iffat was the most selfless and loving person we knew. Her smile and laughter was contagious and she was well known to spread joy and happiness to all those that crossed paths with her. She leaves behind two amazing kids and a loving husband. May Allah grant them and along with all the other family members patience and steadfastness during these tough times, Ameen.

Abu Huraira (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah, (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “When a human being dies, his deeds end except for three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for him.” Therefore we would like to raise funds for a water borehole for those who need it most and also to contribute towards building an Islamic school, as a means of Sadaqah jaariyah for her (ongoing charity). 

Sa’d ibn ‘Ubadah reported: I said, “O Messenger of Allah, my mother has died. Shall I give charity on her behalf?” The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Yes.” I said, “Which charity is best?” The Prophet said, “A drink of water.”

We have teamed up with Orphans and the Needy for this project and by the will of Allah we shall be given the opportunity to visit once completed.

No donation is too little as The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Charity extinguishes the sins like water extinguishes a fire.” [Ibn Majah]

We humbly request everyone to remember Iffat, alongside her children and the rest of her family in their Dua’as.

JazakAllah khair for reading and your kind Dua’as/donation. May Allah reward all our efforts, grant Iffat the highest ranking in Jannah, forgive her sins, illuminate her grave and allow us to reunite with her in the Hereafter (Ameen).
