The artesian well project is considered one of the most important humanitarian projects and ongoing charity, especially in the areas of Al-Hodeidah Governorate, where most of its residents live on the margins of life and lack the most basic necessities.

These projects will continue to serve families that are refugees or displaced primarily from Hudaydah.

The Almighty said: “And We made from water every living thing” (Al-Anbiya 30).

Prophet Muhammad (صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم) said: “Whoever digs a well, no thirsty soul will drink from it whether it be a human, jinn or bird, except that Allah will reward him on the day of Judgement.”

The lack of clean water is one of the main causes of disease and death in the world.  

Yemen's water shortage is far worse than that of any other country in the Middle East. 

In Yemen, Hodeidah Governorate in particular, where more than 60% of the rural population of this governorate lives in areas where clean water is severely scarce and people are forced to go to remote places to supply water.  This is usually the responsibility of women who go out to search for water daily. 

In this project, we seek to reduce the burden on the poor families who suffer the most in obtaining the most basic necessities of life by digging a well in their area, affiliated with the Water Corporation in the region to ease the suffering of these families and facilitate the means of life for them.

One child every 10 minutes dies of a preventable disease

More than 20 million people need health assistance, including 11.6 million people who are in acute need. At least one child dies every 10 minutes in Yemen because of preventable diseases.

According to the United Nations, Yemen is the world’s LARGEST humanitarian crisis.  Over 30 million people or 80% of the population need urgent humanitarian food aid and relief.

-Millions of people have been forced to flee from their homes.  Some 2 million people remain displaced across the country.  

 Nearly 3 million children under 5, along with pregnant or lactating women, are ACUTELY MALNOURISHED.

One million are living in unplanned camps

One million displaced Yemenis are scattered across over 1,500 impromptu, unplanned camps and require support to meet their basic needs.

Five million people are at risk of famine

The catastrophic conflict in Yemen, now in its sixth year, has created the worst humanitarian crisis in the world and led to an appalling situation where nearly 80% of the 30 million Yemeni population is in desperate need of humanitarian food assistance, relief and aid.
