Assalamu alaikum.
Please help us to build the FIRST Mosque on Big Island, Hawaii. We are aiming to purchase an old church and convert it into a mosque. There has never been a mosque on the Big Island of Hawaii before. Currently, we pray in the community center of the Church of Holy Cross. There is a growing need for infrastructure for our Muslim community. The Islamic Center of Hawaii (http://www.icHawaii.org) is a 501(c)3, non-profit organization established on December 15, 2015. The Tax ID is 47-4350023
You may have heard and donated to this project before. This is the third year that we are seeking donations publicly. As of today(June 10, 2021), we have collected around $360,000. We are actively searching for an old church, a commercial property, or empty land to build a mosque. We have found some properties; however, it costs $500k or more. We were not able to secure loans for our future mosque either. Now, we are seeking your support and assistance. Please help us to build a mosque on Big Island, Hawaii. Our goal is to raise a total of $500K.
