As Ramadan 2024 begins, our hearts are drawn to those in Bangladesh since our recent visit, where we witnessed first hand how hundreds of many families lack basic necessities like shelter and clean water.

The Helpers (Al Ansar) Foundation needs your support to embark on a mission to make a meaningful impact, and we invite you to be a crucial part of it.

Our goal is to raise funds to provide tin roofs and water wells for those in dire need.

Tube Wells - £300

Access to safe drinking water is a fundamental human right. Arsenic contamination in drinking water has been a major public health concern in Bangladesh, leading to various health issues.

Implementing arsenic-free tube wells is a sustainable solution for addressing arsenic contamination in Bangladesh. These tube wells minimise the risk of arsenic contamination, providing a long-term and reliable source of safe drinking water for future generations.

Deep Water Wells - £1,500

Deep water wells often draw water from deeper aquifers that are less likely to contain high levels of arsenic. By providing access to arsenic-free water, deep water wells help mitigate the health risks associated with arsenic contamination, which has been a significant issue in Bangladesh.

The Prophet (PBUH) was asked, “Which charity is best?” He replied, “Providing water”’ [Abu Dawud]

Tin Roof - £150

Tin roof provides better protection against the elements compared to traditional thatched roofs. They offer increased resistance to rain, wind, and pests, thus enhancing durability. Tin roofs require less maintenance and repair compared to thatched roofs. Tin roofs are more resilient to extreme weather events such as cyclones and heavy rainfall compared to thatched roofs. By providing stronger structural integrity and better protection against water ingress, tin roofs contribute to disaster preparedness and recovery efforts, reducing the vulnerability of communities to natural hazards.
