Did you know that unclean water has killed more people than all the wars in the world…?
This is why I’m heading out to impoverished areas in Ghana on Monday 31st of January to show you all the dire need of thousands of people in this country.
I’ll be highlighting key areas whilst on the field in dire need of radical change.
Many tribeswomen and children must walk miles daily to access surface water filled with animal feces, urine, and dead fish. Animals and humans alike drink from this water and bring it back to their villages. The worst part is, this water eventually dries up, and they must go out in search for another source.
In 2022, we cannot simply sit back and allow this to be a reality for our fellow humans. Help me make the change that you can.
The Best Charity
HRF has long been building water wells that last a lifetime in these impoverished regions providing clean water to thousands of village people. Our work only continues thanks to your donations. Prophet Muhammad صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ said that:
"The best charity to give is water to drink"
Be a part of this incredible Sadaqah Jaariyah opportunity. A Water Well in South Ghana costs £1000 whilst a Mechanical Bore Hole well in North Ghana costs £5000.
A small price for something priceless.
Why the big difference in North and South Wells?
In the South of Ghana, the water table rests a few metres underneath the surface versus 100m in the North. This means 2 things:
1) Water is more easily accessible in the South compared to the North of Ghana, although those that we aid in rural areas still have to walk 2km to get to a tap to get water, whilst travelling in the desert heat and resting the heavy bucket on their heads, women and children alike.
2) The machinery required to dig into the surface is cheaper than in the North as you don't have to dig as deep to access water
In the North, they have extremely limited access to water. Having to walk miles each day in the desert heat to just get to a temporary source of surface water, infested with animal faces, urine, dead fish and flies.
They must dig 100m below the surface to get to water, which requires very heavy machinery.
Who Will Benefit and How?:
In Ghana, more than five million people (about 18 percent) rely on surface water to meet their daily water needs, leaving them vulnerable to water-related illness and disease. Further, 81 percent of Ghanaians lack access to improved sanitation or are entirely without toilet facilities.
Be a part of the solution and gain rewards daily in this incredible Sadaqah-e-Jaariyah:
If you donate to a full well, you will receive well pictures within 6-12 months along with a message on a plaque of your choice. You can put names of a loved one on the well to act as a Sadaqah Jaariyah for them.
Please donate generously and see your aid in action whilst I’m on the ground:

The most powerful story is no story at all...
Meet Kareem. He is 13 years old, from Gaza city. Him and his family lost their home and everything inside. He escaped the bombardment with his family and went south to Rafah.
He arrived literally 2 days ago with his father, mother and 3 of his siblings. He's currently sharing a small apartment with friends from Gaza which we just helped to fit out with household items aiding their resettlement in Egypt since becoming refugees
When I asked Kareem to give insight into what he went through, he refused because it's too traumatic...
Never in any deployment to help people from war torn countries has this happened before. They always give at least some insight into what they saw and experienced
If it wasn't for the embarrassment of Kareem comforting me when I cry next to him, I would have balled my eyes out right there
My heart is too heavy these last couple days. We can't change anything in their past or recover what they've lost. Let's at least let them know we care 💔
We're on the ground and ready to serve. Donate here: http://www.launchgood.com/Waj-Palestine
125 Days on the Ground in Palestine

I'll distributing your winter aid in Pakistan tomorrow
Today I found myself back on the field in Pakistan. Specifically in the mountains; Kaghan, KPK. An area very few would visit except if passing through to reach more prominent tourist sites within this beautiful province.
I really had a strong epiphany today as I realised a new essence to cyclical poverty. The fact was that when I arrived to my hotel last night, I barely caught an hour's sleep because of the cold. This was despite being indoors, with a personal gas heater, layered up in a bed and a thick blanket. The -4°C cold on the other side of the door had sunken itself completely inside the room and it was hell bent on sticking around as temperatures will drop to -8°C this week.
We left in the morning for Kaghan. Seeing the people's living condition left me very upset. It's not like I saw devestating conditions, but rather the reality of their situation was devestating. 3 months of the year they're stuck in upto 15ft of snow. The other months, the kids may or may not have a teacher for them to study under. They have no madrasah to learn their religion. 0 job prospects or agriculture. Medical help is non existent. And their homes are as bare as can be. The same homes they repaired with their own hands after the 2005 7.6 magnitude Earthquake which claimed a massive 86,000+ lives, including lives in this very region.
I sat with kids burning plastic they found as shown pictured. I asked how else they keep themselves warm, to which one child answered they don't have much of anything. It can get to -18°C in the middle of winter. There is no real way out of this life for them, as shown with my interview of Mamaji who was 85 years old and saw no change in her living standard since being born. It's practically a prison created between mountains.
I pray Allah accepts from both me and you this noble effort. MATW Project is the only charity to ever help these people, and it's impossible to not make the intention to continue to help. Today we gave 100 food packs out, and tomorrow we will be distributing heaters, blankets and mattresses as part of our winter appeal. I ask you all to dig deep so we can continue to provide this help to these most vulnerable people in need, from the orphans, to the widows, to the elderly, whether they be in Pakistan or elsewhere in the world.
Please donate generously at this link: https://www.launchgood.com/orphan-winter
This Jummah, don’t leave them out in the cold!
Salaam, Jummah is a special day of duas.
We can’t help but think of all of the orphans who are left to fend for themselves in the coming winter season.
Orphans like Samia (pictured here)
At only 12 years old, Samia takes care of her younger siblings. After her father was killed in the conflict, her family fled to seek safety in Lebanon.
The tent they live in barely protects them.
At night, she plays a game with her siblings till they sleep so they can forget their hunger.
Samia is one of the millions of orphaned children who will face a harsh winter season this year.
From Lebanon to Palestine, these children of conflict are forced to question their survival, not knowing if they’ll see another day.
You can change that. Protect an orphan this Jummah and elevate your Akhirah.
Please donate at the following link: http://www.launchgood.com/orphan-winter
A crisis in a crisis. Winter in Palestine.
A man-made humanitarian catastrophe has been created for 2.3 million people.
1.7 million have fled from their homes, with many now seeking refuge inside of tents.
Everything is limited. Food, Water, Medical Aid, Winter clothes, Blankets, Mattresses, and even Shelters...
The weather is dipping rapidly in the Middle East Nights. Join MATW as we provide new winter clothes to orphans, food to vulnerable families, and shelter + heating solutions to those most in need.

We knew this day would come...
Ceasefire Over. 175 killed in Palestine within hours.
The current statistics stand at this...
* At least 15,000 have now been killed since the start of the conflict.
* This includes at least over:
* 6,150 children
* 4,000 women
* 36,000 critically injured
* More than 75% of the injured are children and women
* And at least 6,800 people are reported missing
We can't let this continue.
Please help us do what we can to save as many lives as possible. We've been on the ground since the beginning delivering life-saving aid every single day, because of your support.
We need you now. Please help.

Remember to share on to your own family and friends!
Yes. It is BLACK FRIDAY in Palestine too...
But it’s different to what you’d expect because of this…
* At least 14,532 have been killed
* Including at least:
* 6,000 children
* 4,000 women
* At least 35,000 have been injured
* More than 75 percent are children and women
* At least 6,800 are missing
Right now we have a pause in the bombing and assault on innocent lives.
Right now we can respond with humanitarian support and provide food, water, medical aid and essentials.
Right now is an opportunity for you to save a life with your donation.

Increase your reward
During Ramadan we look at every opportunity to increase the level of reward we get. One of the ways to boost this is to feed a fasting person and receive an equal measure of their reward.
“ Whoever gives food to a fasting person (to break the fast), he will get the same reward as the fasting person’s reward without any diminishment.” Hadith narrated by Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah.
Don't miss this chance to feed the fasting and attain as much blessings as you can this Ramadan.

A little sadaqah goes a long way...
Did you know your sadaqah can do wonders?
(and it’s not what you think)
Yes, the sadaqah you give will transform the lives of someone who really needs it. In fact, it is written for them to receive it. It’s for us to facilitate it and get the reward for doing so.
Time and time again Allah SWT gives us opportunities like Ramadan to gain reward in abundance.
“Every good deed of the son of Adam will be multiplied manifold. A good deed will be multiplied ten times up to as many as seven hundred times, or as much as Allah wills.” – Sunan Ibn Majah, Vol. 1, Book 7, Hadith 1638. Sahih.
He gives this to us so we can attain Jannah. What’s more, He does not diminish your wealth when you give. So essentially you have nothing to lose.
So take this moment and make it do wonders.

There's a tingle in the air... The Ramadan buzz is here ?
It's crazy to think in only 2 weeks we'll be fasting the days of Ramadan, worshipping Allah SWT in the day and night, and striving daily to earn his pleasure and mercy to enter Jannah 🤲
May Allah SWT allow us to reach the blessed month and take maximum advantage of this gift!
Now is a great time to prepare for this esteemed guest, Ramadan. It's extremely difficult to start a car on a steep hill, hence we should increase in certain small habits to prepare us to go full throttle in the month. Start to read Qur'an more, even if "only" an ayah after each Salah, wake up a few extra minutes before Fajr to pray some Tahajjud/Qiyam-al-Layl, and try to keep up with Sunnah fasts on Monday and Thursday.
Even small things like a bulk shop for food and toiletries and washing/ironing clothes so you better spend that time in the month goes a long way (especially for me as a charity worker always on the go in the month! Running out of deodorant and a clean thobe to wear is my worst nightmare, God forbid at the same time! 😫😅)
There's many more things planned on my side for all of you to take advantage of charity wise in the month too. I'll post more Insha'Allah next week. Anyone wanting to get involved with charity intiatives in the month, be sure to give me a shout, whether it's to help at events, local projects such as food banks, doing a little fundraising, or even taking on a bigger Sadaqah Jariyah project like a water well or masjid in the name of a loved one, there's something for everyone to get involved in :)

Do something incredible today!
Assalaamu ‘alaikum,
I just wanted to reach out and say thank you for your continued support. Your donation, no matter how small makes a difference. It truly changes lives.
Interestingly when we give, we give for the sake of Allah SWT. We give so that He may be please with us and our actions. We look to Fridays and special moments in the day to maximise our reward. We give because we want Jannah for ourselves and our loved ones. And I pray Allah SWT allows us to achieve that together.
What’s also beautiful about this, is that Allah SWT gives us multiple opportunities to do good and attain that reward. It’s really up to us whether we take it or not.
Right now, I am raising much needed funds for orphans in Africa. They live below the poverty line, eating scraps of bread and drinking dirty water. This I’ve seen first hand and want it to change. Your support will allow us to provide clean drinking water, fresh and healthy food, medial checks, and provisions of education so they become literate and are better equipped for life. Many orphans under the care of MATW are ambitious and strive for a better life. And they can achieve this with your support.
If you can, please give on this special day and remember how beloved the orphans were to our Prophet:
The Prophet (saw) said, ‘The one who cares for an orphan and myself will be together in Paradise like this’, and he (saw) held his two fingers together to illustrate. [Bukhari]
So take this opportunity as your opportunity to please Allah SWT.

Asalaamu Alaykum,
I pray this email finds you in good health and imaan.
First I'd like to thank you for opening this message, because it shows that you want to take every opportunity to do good and please Allah SWT.
Every moment we have really is precious, we don't know if we will be alive tomorrow. So taking every opportunity is important. When our dear brother Ali Banat was diagnosed with cancer and given a few months to live, he took it as a blessing to do what he could before he passed away. He donated everything he had to help vulnerable families in need. This, mashallah is an excellent example, and one we pray Allah SWT rewards Ali abundantly for his actions.
This example is also something we can be inspired by too.
Right now, I'm looking to support vulnerable orphan families in Togo, Africa. The communities there are surviving on dirty water and scraps of food they find. Their life expectancy is short. MATW is committed to changing that, which is why they have an orphan complex that supports their education, provides food, clothing, clean water to drink and wash, as well as a masjid for them to pray and learn Quran. I have personally seen the centre myself and it is incredible. I would love for you to support this initiative on this blessed day.
Please take this opportunity to do good and click on the link below.

Yours faithfully,
Wajahat Hussain MATW
Have I introduced you to Nouredine?
Nouredine is a living legacy of Ali Banat, a legacy that all of you are now a part of!
From an impoverished village he came to our Kpogan Centre in Togo, and converted to Islam. He has completed Hifz, learnt Arabic, and is now at university studying Financial Management!
Listen to his beautiful recitation of Surah Mulk here, you made this happen, Alhamdulillah!

What I found was really upsetting...
Assalaamu 'alaikum,
I just wanted to share a touching story from my journey in Togo.
Whilst I was there I came across a man called Ibrahim and his family of nine. To get to him we had to drive an hour, travel by boat through a swamp and finally walk in 35°C before we found him and his family. What we saw was truly heart-breaking.
The family literally had nothing, but warmth and hospitality. We found them drinking swamp water. That’s right SWAMP WATER. The stagnant water our boat was travelling in was what they were drinking.
This is serious: A person dies every minute from drinking unclean water
We need to do something about this.
I asked the team how much it would cost to give Ibrahim and his village clean water. They told me £3000. That’s all it takes to build a deep area water well and give this village a source of clean water.
My dear brothers and sisters, on this blessed day, please help me in saving lives. If 100 people donated just £30 today we can do it.
I believe together we can do it. Please click on the link below and give what can.

Yours faithfully,

Your invaluable continuous support allows me to reach those most in need with vital and life saving aid. May Allah SWT bless you eternally for the support that you have given projects like these.
Winter is still here, and continues to debilitate millions of lives across the countries we work in, especially those of innocent children.
Your sadaqah today can put warm clothes on their backs and hot food on their plates. If enough of us get together and help a child each we can really make an impact.
£90 can give a child a jacket and blanket to keep them warm and a family food pack to last one month. I have a target to give this to 100 families. Can you help 1 or 2 families today? Or anything you can afford, please donate at the link below. Jazakallah Khair!
