For 96% of people in Gaza, water is completely undrinkable

The blessing of water goes completely over our heads. Never in our lives have we been more than 10-20 seconds away from a tap. This magical tap, that you can turn on or off any time of the day. Get as much clean, fresh, drinking water from it. You can even make it hot, or even make it cold. But a couple flights away, you end up in Gaza, and 96% of the population of 2 million people don’t have this luxury.

Repetitive use of this toxic water which they have no choice but to use is hospitalising children in Gaza. Their health complications include skin peeling, hair loss, as well as kidney and liver failure. No child should be bathing in this kind of water or drinking it.

MATW is on the ground in Gaza, providing an all-in-one solution with an ultra-filtration system. This is fitted directly into the homes of Palestinians and will make a difference to these families like we cannot even imagine. The system has 3 cylinders, which allows water in their homes to pass through 2 0.5-micron coconut shell carbon block filters, granules and purification sediments, to provide a big solution for the toxic water they would otherwise be drinking.

Of the benefits the filter provides includes taking out any bacteria, viruses and cysts, as well as filter out any heavy metals such as lead, even chlorine, pesticides and chemicals.
