The request

The work for land development at Faith Unity Islamic Center has started and we need immediate money for purchasing some materials for our water drainage system.

The money needed is to purchase stones for two (2) underground basins and the concrete required for the water drainage system for the property. Each basin has about 18,500 cu.ft. capacity.

The rain and/or storm water from the property is collected in the basins and discharged to a nearby creek through an 18” diameter pipe connected to each basin.

Since the project is ongoing, the work will stall if the money is not raised.

Faith Unity Islamic Center

Faith Unity has been serving the needs of the Muslim community of Bensalem since 2002. In 2006, we began renting the lobby of a local fire station to use as an Islamic Center for daily prayers, Eid and jummah, Sunday school, iftars, and more. However, as the community has grown to over 200 worshippers every Friday, there has been a need to expand and attain a permanent home for the community.

In 2014, we were blessed to purchase undeveloped land in Bensalem to use as the site of our new home. Since then, after design, planning, and approvals, construction has commenced and we have finally been able to break ground our our new home, alhamdulillah. Unfortunately, due to issues with some of the materials and work that was done, we urgently need additional funds to complete this phase of the project. We have begun Phase 1 Development, but your help is needed to us to complete it.

Phase 1 Progress

We have created this campaign in an effort to raise the funds required for the underground basins and concrete required to complete Phase 1. Insha'Allah money will continue to be raised for remaining items.
