Conquer Scafell Pike: Trek for Clean Water

I am embarking on an exciting and challenging adventure, and I need your support!. I will be trekking to the summit of Scafell Pike, the highest peak in England, to raise funds for a cause that is very close to my heart – providing clean and safe drinking water to communities in need in Bangladesh and Pakistan.

The Challenge

Trekking to the summit of Scafell Pike is no easy feat. Here are some stats to give you an idea of what I'll be facing:

• Height: 978 meters (3,209 feet) above sea level
• Distance: 14 kilometers (8.7 miles) round trip
• Ascent: 964 meters (3,162 feet) of vertical climb
• Estimated Trekking Time: 6-9 hours

This trek will push me to my limits, both physically and mentally. I will be navigating rugged terrain, steep climbs, and potentially unpredictable weather conditions. But every step I take will be worth it because it will bring us closer to achieving our goal.

The Cause

Access to clean water is a basic human right, yet millions of people in Bangladesh and Pakistan struggle daily to obtain it. Contaminated water sources lead to severe waterborne diseases such as cholera, dysentery, and typhoid, which claim countless lives, especially among children.

Blackstone is working tirelessly to install hand pumps in these regions, providing reliable sources of clean water. Your generous donations will:

• Install Hand Pumps: Each hand pump provides clean water to an entire community, drastically reducing waterborne diseases.

Fundraising Goal

My minimum fundraising target is £50, but if I raise £150, I can choose the country where my personalized hand pump will be installed – either Pakistan or Bangladesh. Additionally, a name plaque will be placed on the pump, dedicating it to someone special. This is a unique way to leave a lasting impact and create a Sadaqah Jariyah (Ongoing Charity)
