Crescent Academy

With a growing Muslim population in the South Metro Atlanta area, there was an urgent need for an Islamic school. Many families with young children and the means to move were leaving the community yearly to gain closer access to Islamic Schools in North Metro-Atlanta. The founders of the school themselves were all planning on moving until they decided to Establish a School instead in 2022.

Crescent Academy officially opened it's doors in August 2023, fully funded by the local Muslim community of the Islamic Community Center of Atlanta (ICCA) in Fayetteville, GA with a preschool class. The following year in 2024, due to high demand, the school expanded quickly within ICCA to include grades PreK3, PreK4, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade. Additional classrooms were built and furnished as well as textbooks and learning materials procured,  all using the funds raised by our local ICCA Masjid community, MashaAllah.

Subhanullah, by the Grace of Allah swt, we have outgrown our expectations. We conducted a survey of our community, and we have over 75 families with over 150 school-aged children interested in being enrolled is our Islamic Private School. We hope to expand at a steady and measured pace to ensure the best environment for our students. 

At this time 60% of our student body is on financial aid. Monthly tuition is used directly to pay our 5 teachers (1 teacher/grade) and an administrator. All staff members have accepted a reduced salary to help support the school. Donations are still needed to cover 40% of the teachers salaries monthly, since tuitions cannot cover the cost. Donations are also used to pay for utilities, books, and furniture.

Now, we need your help to continue to provide the best possible Academic and Islamic Education our school can offer in association with ICCA. We started this effort from the ground up, so any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Our goal is to raise $70,0000. This will support 

1. The annual tuition of 14 students currently on financial aid.
2. In turn, allow our teachers to be paid a livable wage. Ensuring that our teachers receive the compensation they deserve and can continue to provide the needed nurturing and education for our student population. Which will allow our school to succeed, InshaAllah!

More Information

• Location: Our community survey showed the the majority of interested parents are within a 20mi radius to ICCA in Fayetteville, GA. We are currently housed within ICCA Masjid, and are an affiliate of ICCA.
• Staying within the masjid, allows us to save money on rent, but we are quickly outgrowing the space.
