Four incredibly cool next-generation Muslim apps – you decide if they get made! 

Peter and his creative team are very pleased to present four beautiful new app ideas designed for Muslim kids. If the funding goals are reached they will be developed further and made available for iPhone/iPad and Android devices. 

The series of apps are not designed to replace a quality education experience but rather enhance them with unique, fun learning experiences that help promote confidence with Islamic identity, familiarity with Muslim themes that they will interact with later in a more meaningful way.

Our research indicated many Muslim children spend little time on the current generation of ‘Islamic apps’ because they are not as engaging as the popular mainstream kids apps, and many do not offer well developed ‘repeat’ experiences once they have been played once or twice. As a result, many hours are wasted on other mainstream fun games that don’t offer any educational value, let alone Islamic content. This is a chance to contribute to game-changing apps that hundreds of thousands of kids can benefit from inshaAllah.

Games like Magic, Pokemon & Yu-Gi-Oh have captured the minds and imagination of young boys across the world, using unique illustrations with exciting gameplay to get kids to memorize hundreds if not thousands of imaginary names, creatures and abilities.  What if there was a game that instead got our youth to learn about our rich, beautiful Muslim history and heritage and inspired them to build on the legacy?

Introducing Dinars & Dynasties!

Dinars & Dynasties is a visually rich adventure game for tablets & smartphones that invites players to explore classical Islamic cities, meet famous Muslim scholars, and acquire hassanah (good deeds) and hikmah (wisdom). The game features

• incredibly detailed immersive environments
• stunning graphics
• card and city designs evoking traditional Islamic art and architecture

How to Play

The core game experiences, events and game challenges use a turn-based card approach, a popular game archetype. After taking quests and collecting cards for performing commendable deeds, the challenge screen commences for the current city. The player starts with 10 points and have to work their way to 20 points. Each turn, the player plays a card from their hand, which can be either points cards or other cards that have different abilities. During the computers turn, it will also play a card, but these cards are negative. They will either reduce the players score, or hinder their progress through effects like blocking the next players card. If the computer player reduces the score to 0, the player loses the match and will not advance to the next city for more adventure until they have collected more cards. As the player visits different cities and completes more challenges, their deck of cards will be made more powerful with stronger cards. By the end of the game, the player will have a deck strong enough to hopefully, complete the final challenge and win the game.

Muslim boys aged 7-13, although all - boys & girls, young & old - are invited to play!
