What happened? 

Turkey is facing a devastating disaster as a 7.7 magnitude earthquake struck the Pazarcık district of Kahramanmaraş province and several other areas. The earthquake has caused widespread damage, injuring many and leaving many more without homes and needing necessities like food and shelter. The latest official number says over: 14,000 dead. 

How are we responding? 

In the wake of this disaster, the Türk Kızılay- Turkish Red Crescent has jumped into action, mobilizing staff and volunteers to aid those in need. Our teams work around the clock to deliver food, shelter, and other necessary items to the earthquake victims.

What is your role?

Boots on the ground:

Our President, Dr Kerem Kınık and Director General, Dr Ibrahim Altan, are on the ground in the earthquake zones, coordinating efforts to provide aid to those in need. Our teams, consisting of over 240 professional staff members and hundreds of volunteers, are working tirelessly to provide food, shelter, and other necessities to those affected by the earthquake.

We are also calling on you to donate blood, as there is a critical need for blood and blood products in the aftermath of this disaster.
