We run income generation projects, which are very diverse and range from helping widows start their own poultry business, or supporting women establish eco-friendly seaweed farms, to helping the blind earn their way out of poverty by weaving floor mats to sell to hotels. With your contribution, we can positively change lives, taking a family that relies on food packages to become entrepreneurs who learn to fend for themselves with pride and newfound self-dignity. This is Nasra, 21 years old who was unemployed and and struggling to make ends meet. It took her just one month to train in our weaving project before she became fantastic at weaving mats and making a living for herself and her family. 

This is Sialeo who is 27 years old. she has been weaving for two years and has been able to take care of her 5 children through this project.

How do Income Generation projects work?

We use your donations to enable the poor to set up a business to earn a living for themselves. We mentor and guide them so they learn to trade as a business. Once they start to trade, we track and review their performance and feedback on how they can improve their business and increase profitability.

We provide healthcare and education to children and provide clean and safe water to remote regions. Our livelihood projects have given thousands of families an opportunity to climb out of the cycle of poverty.
