This is an unprecedented time of uncertainty for many in our community. Post Covid-19, and after the Ukraine war started, the UK has been in a cost-of-living crisis where many in our local communities, including the elderly, vulnerable and homeless members of our community live well below the poverty line and face financial austerity, anxiety and uncertainty. Many have no one to turn to and no recourse to public funds.

We are working hard to identify vulnerable households that need additional support during this crisis that is set to continue for months ahead. We are also supporting several outreach services for the homeless in Tameside and Manchester. 

We recognize the incredibly immense pressures on homeless outreach services working around the clock to keep the vulnerable warm, sheltered and fed. The Action for Humanity Team have cooked over 100,000 hot meals for the homeless and needy from 2020 to date. This is an effort by THE COMMUNITY, For The COMMUNITY.  The money raised on this link will support our local community in the following ways:

1) Donate £10.............To provide hot meals for 3 homeless/ elderly/ vulnerable people going hungry in our community. 
 

2) Donate £25............To provide basic essentials for a vulnerable household: A food parcel will include staple items such as bread, milk, eggs, beans, pasta, cereal, oil etc. We also provide basic/ staple non perishable items to local food banks in Manchester and Tameside.

3) Donate £100.....to provide clothes and essentials items for a family living in crisis OR a basic grocery shop for vulnerable households.

4) Donate £250.....to support a weekly Homeless Batchcook for upto 150 people 

Syria Relief; now known as Action for Humanity is a local charity. Much of the Manchester community have supported displaced families inside Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq and Turkey. While we continue to support those displaced around the world, we feel that this is the time to also support our local community members who are in need during these uncertain times.
