The Prophet ﷺ urged us to increase our good deeds in the first ten blessed days of Dhul Hijjah. He ﷺ said: “There are no days on which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten days” (Bukhari), meaning the (first) ten days of Dhul-Hijjah. One of the most important action Muslims must perform this month is the Qurbani sacrifice. This sacrificial slaughter is a great Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to be completed on the day of Eid Al Adha.

Qurbani Explained

Qurbani is a religious act of sacrifice performed by Muslims worldwide during Eid-al-Adha. It involves the sacrifice of an animal, such as a sheep, goat, or cow, as an act of gratitude and devotion to Allah, and to commemorate Prophet Ibrahim’s act of selflessness and surrender. The meat from the sacrificed animal is then distributed to those in need, including refugees, widows, and impoverished communities, offering them sustenance, nourishment, and hope during a time of celebration.

Just as Prophet Ibrahim demonstrated his unwavering commitment to Allah’s command, Qurbani allows us to emulate his spirit by sacrificing a portion of our own blessings to bring joy and nourishment to those less fortunate. It reminds us that true devotion lies in selflessly serving others and sharing the blessings bestowed upon us. As we perform Qurbani, we embrace the teachings of Prophet Ibrahim and seek to embody his resilience, faith, and compassion.

Your generous donation will provide Qurbani meat to families in Palestine, Somalia, Pakistan, and the Uyghurs. 

The earlier you make your donation, the better! We have to ensure your donations get to the intended communities BEFORE Eid ul Adha so they can allocate animals for qurbani shares.

*Please note, Qurbani donations to Palestine can go to Al Quds, The West Bank, or Gaza. We are ALSO able to provide meat to Gaza that is eligible as sadaqah.

STEP 1: CHOOSE A COUNTRY

As a donor, you have the freedom to choose the country to which you wish to donate your Qurbani. Whether it's Palestine, Somalia, Pakistan, or the Uyghurs, we work closely with our partners on the ground to ensure your donation reaches the eligible people in the need in that country. 

STEP 2: ALLOCATION OF ANIMALS

Our team works closely with trusted partners to identify the best available animals. Our priority is to ensure that the animals chosen are healthy and meet the necessary standards to provide optimal meat quality for the beneficiaries.

STEP 3: QURBANI SHARES

With your donation, we will ensure that the maximum number of families receive the benefits of Qurbani. Each share contributed will be meticulously broken down into packages of approximately 2 kilograms of meat. This allows us to reach more families.

STEP 4: DISTRIBUTION AFTER EID SALAH

Following Eid prayers, our partners will initiate the distribution process. We will work to deliver the Qurbani meat to the intended people in the selected regions. The distribution will be carried out promptly and efficiently to ensure that families receive the meat while it is fresh.

STEP 5: DONATING ANIMAL SKIN

We believe in utilizing every part of the sacrificed animal to benefit the local community. The skin of the animal will be donated locally to be repurposed by skilled artisans and craftspeople. This not only helps reduce waste but also provides economic opportunities for individuals within the community.
