East Africa's Famine Crisis

The people of Somalia, Ethiopia, and South Sudan are suffering from drought and famine on a massive scale. They desperately need food and water to make it through this difficult crisis.  Join our campaign by donating whatever you can give to ensure families are able to be survive.

The humanitarian crisis is so overwhelming that almost over 11 million people are barely clinging on to life, and over 20 million are in need of emergency care and life-saving essentials. 

Over 900,000 children are plagued with severe malnutrition and have been forced to leave school. More than a million people have been displaced from homes, losing everything that they own, to walk in search of food and water. They end up in large camps, where they become vulnerable to diseases such as malaria, HIV, watery diarrhea, measles, and cholera.

To avert a humanitarian catastrophe, we need your donations to save some of the 20 million lives at immediate risk of death as a result of the famine.

What we are doing:

Our teams are on the ground now, distributing food and essential sanitation packages in key famine affected regions of Somalia, South Sudan, and Ethiopia. We have reached more than 500 families, and we aim to reach another 100,000 men, women, and children in famine-affected regions.

We are providing affected individuals with lifesaving food, water and sanitation and medical supplies. Blankets and mattresses are also being provided by us to internally displaced people who have been forced from their homes.
